I'm extremely pleased with the snare and kicks, and I'm amused with how the cymbals sound. The cymbals will take more work on my part, as I've had zero experience mixing completely raw samples prior to this clip, but they'd be nice 'here and there' with other cymbals.

The actual song is an ADTR cover. Somebody posted stems on the "Ultimate Stem Share" forum on facebook.

This toy drum kit sampled with a Samson c01 mic and processed to piss. All drums are 100% this toy kit.

In this test, the first riff was recorded with my Steinberg UR22 with the gain at 3 o'clock with the "hi-z" button NOT pressed. The second riff was recorded with the gain at 9 o'clock with the "hi-z" button engaged. When the Steinberg's "D-pre" preamps are pushed, the guitar DI sounds fatter and darker. When comparing processed tones, the sound was much fuller and less shrill/harsh than the track with the hi-z and less gain configuration.

I used a Jackson JS22-7 string guitar to record with a monster cable. The strings are less than new ernie ball power 7 slinky's in Drop B.
