Heavyweight trio Travesty returns to Tytanium Armour Recordings with two refreshed versions of dark and dirty back catalogue cuts. Characterised by a sound influenced by countless sources but nevertheless dominated with grit and groove, Travesty have found a home for their neurofunk-oriented releases on Tytanium Armour Recordings. Geographical proximity and a shared musical palette shaped by the darkside sounds from the early ‘00s ensure that the artist and label work together in synergy, resulting in a release which pays homage to the foundational sounds of contemporary drum and bass with all the edge you would expect from a 2024 production. 

Opening with an updated version of their 2018 neuro stepper Enclosed, Travesty instantly demonstrates their ability to straddle the boundary between the musical past, present, and future. Travesty substitutes a distorted reese bass from the original track with a more resonant bass reminiscent of Optical’s output from the late ‘90s and early ‘00s whilst still preserving the bassline’s melodic progression and skippy drum pattern of the original track, injecting a fresh boost of energy into an already monstrous tune. 

Techstep veteran Skru graces Tytanium Armour Recordings with a remix of Containment for the second and final track of the release. Heavily distorted reeses and thunderous amens come courtesy of the artist who has secured releases on labels as legendary as Tech Itch, Renegade Hardware, and Serial Killaz. Here, the language of fast breaks and deep basslines spoken by techstep ensures that the relationship between jungle and drum and bass is as visible as ever.

Back with another international collaboration, Ben Soundscape, Roygreen & Protone bring us two tracks of lush drum and bass depth.

Preferring to work together in person, this release was crafted as part of their frequent music making pilgrimage between Bristol and Vienna. These studio sessions are always fruitful and DIS146 is a testament to the creative energy that flows during these regular trips.

Joined by Ill Truth whilst in Bristol, the resulting track 'Kai' is packed with deep sub bass and lush liquid atmosphere. 'Adversity' completes this release in fine style, with dreamy choral refrain and a vocal sample reflecting on the nature of adversity.

With rolling drums and beautiful liquid drum and bass sentiment throughout, we’re proud to welcome these guys back to Dispatch.

After topping UK download charts and receiving wide-ranging support for their “Genesis” and “Forward” EP’s, Liondub unleashes the third in a brilliant series from Toronto’s very own Dungeon Kru. Founding members DJ Slick & Willy Gyalis teamed up with Manchester’s Visuals in order to leave an indelible impression on the Drum & Bass landscape with their unmistakable sound. On this 3rd outing on the New York based Liondub label, Dungeon Kru present “Family” a brilliant full length LP featuring 9 collaborations with artists from around the globe. DK is joined by upcoming producers like Dunk [Brazil], Yatuza (Columbia), T-Kay (Italy], Maurizzle [Germany], Falco [Nederlands], as well as legendary Full Cycle staple SUV [UK] and label boss Liondub himself [New York]. Dungeon Kru continue to set a very high standard for dark and hard-hitting production unlike any other, and these heavyweight collabs raise the bar once again.
