DEXT Recordings is going from strength to strength at the moment. Only established last year, the London label is preparing to add another two reputable names to a roster that already includes Dubspeeka, Appleblim and Bodyjack.

The two names in question? Oli Furness and Alden Tyrell. Yes that's right, one of Manchester's shining lights and a Clone regular, together on the same record; what more could we ask for? Due out next month, Furness' Decisions EP marks DEXT's third release and collects 4 tracks of tough techno, infused with jungle and acid house.

Our premiere today, Alden Tyrell's remix of the title-track is just about as mean as they come. The Rotterdam producer (no he's not from Highgarden) takes the gruff original and ups the ante, driving through with an aggressive four-to-the-floor pump and twisted vocal. 

The Decisions EP will see a vinyl release on June 1st, followed by digital copies on June 15th.

Oli Furness - Decisions (Alden Tyrell Remix)

After a first EP from BNJMN, new Creme Organization label off shoot Jericho One now serves up a second release, this time from NOFACE. This is a moniker of Mella Dee, a producer who in the last few years has released rough house tracks on labels like Lobster Boy, Digital Soundboy and Omena. Here he offers three new pieces that show a passion for high energy, lo­fi tracks with inventive grooves.
‘Saturate’ is littered with old school signifiers but is essential a brutal, high power techno banger with immovable kick drums, slithering percussive patterns and fiery vocal ad libs that imbue the track with a sense of afro­futurism. ‘Polar’ is a similarly physical track with massive, monstrous kicks, reverberating synth lines and a barreling sense of groove that washes over you like a braking wave. Finally, ‘Warrior Charge’ is another physical and functional cut with robust drums, oversized hi hats and woodpecker like hook that demands you stomp and head bang from start to finish.

Jimmy Asquith follows up his massive dancefloor-crushing solo debut 'The Conditioning Track' with a four track techno-house-bass EP that shimmers with London-via-West Yorkshire influences. 

Treading further down the path of UK bass, garage and house - whilst incorporating a heaving mid-Germany techno edge and the skippy NY-Jersey sound - this EP sees a breakout in four directions and a smatter of extra colour in the producers pallet. 

Hard Skippin' (Cream Dub) is the huge garage-house A-side. Taking UK house back to it's 90's roots whilst giving a nod to both North & South England garage styles. Title track Never Alone is a techno bomb straight outta Berlin. Channeling a bit of Wax and EQ'd, this is high-tempo, synth stab-heavy stuff with choppy French house undertones. 

On the flip we have Hot Hot, a reimagining of UK funky through a techno club lens. A no frills drum, bass and vocal track that oozes rhythm and lands heavy with each drop. Lastly we have NRG Mix, a stepped rhythmic filtered slab of dub techno that washes and waves from break to break, steeped in rumbling subs.

About 'No Face no Case' EP -

Hailing from Sydney Australia, Suspect Raver has seen first hand the effect that tough laws have had on the local nightlife over the past few years.

Although it was dire for most, there was still a resolute band of underground music heads that kept the soundsystems thumping throughout the weekend evenings at determined and unyielding venues as well as via "illegal" raves.

These tracks are a homage to those times and a push for more of the same energy in the future.

Castles' angelic vocal sample drives the listener into a trance, while Run it Straight and Rave to the Rhythm are two unforgiving big room thumpers. Finally Warehouse Mobb uplifts the energy with a melancholic and reflective hook and interview sample from one of hip hops' realists.
