FJØDO, the Bob Ross of sound artists, mixes elements of pop, electronic and house. With limber brushstrokes and an eye for detail he creates happy little sound clouds and bittersweet synthfonies. For those lyrics and vocals are just two of the many colors – in contrast to his alter ego @PeterPaasch, with whom he offensively confronts reality, merging bizarre documentary-language samples with straight beats.

When FJØDO dims the lights down to disco, the notorious browser tab collector escapes the big city hustle and bustle and strolls through the silent night. With intuitive flair, a songwriter soul and a heart full of pop appeal, he works on tracks not giving a damn about genre laws. 
 
At the end of 2017 a handful of these happy little sound clouds were officially released for the first time: on the EP "Mikrone". With his newest work "Fisimatenten" FJØDO stretches his feelers a bit more towards the sun. Not only moving from the north german label NixxNeues to @Pavillonn in Paris. The range of tonal colors is also extended: piano chords softly drip onto a canvas full of lively, clacking beats and gentle sub-basses. Synth arpeggi pulse from the depths into sky blue and mix with Elysian choral fragments building an impressionistic gem of joy.

FJØDO, der Bob Ross unter den Klangkünstlern, mischt mit federndem Pinselstrich und viel Liebe zur Datei Elemente aus Pop, Electronica und House zu happy little Soundclouds. Zu bittersüßen Synthfonien, in denen Text und Stimme nur zwei von vielen Farben sind. Anders als bei seinem Alter Ego @PeterPaasch, mit dem er sich der Realität ganz offensiv stellt – und in guter alter Cut-up-Manie skurrile Doku-Sprachsamples mit straighten Beats verschmilzt.

Als FJØDO drückt er treffsicher auf Escape und dimmt down auf Discolicht. So entflieht der notorische Tab-Sammler dem Tagtrubel der Großstadt und bummtschackt sich durch die Stille der Nacht. Mit viel Fingerspitzenfeeling und Songwritersoul feilt er an Tracks, die einen Klick auf Szeneimperative oder Gesetze von Genrepolizisten geben (Stichwort: Housedurchsuchung). Deren Herz mit Popappeal pumpt, ohne dabei in die Beliebigkeit saxofonschwangeren Seifenblasengedudels abzudriften.

Ende 2017 erschien erstmals eine gute Hand voll dieser happy little Soundclouds offiziell – auf der EP »Mikrone« beim Lübecker Boutique-Label NixxNeues. Ein gutes Jahr später wird nun nachgelegt: Mit »Fisimatenten« streckt FJØDO seine Füller ein Stück mehr Richtung Sonne. Nicht nur mit dem Wechsel der Labelheimat von der Lübecker Küste nach Paris zu Pavillonn. Auch die Klangfarbpalette wird erweitert: Pianochords tropfen auf eine Leinwand voll quirlig-klackernder Beats und sanfter Subbässe. Synth-Arpeggi pluckern aus der Tiefe ins Himmelblau und mischen sich mit elysischen Chorfetzen zu einem impressionistischen Kleinod an die Freude.
