Fjodor - Opa

Building on the emotional voltage of his earlier work On/Off, Fjodor’s new album Ever Higher, Ever Further, I Soared Into the Dark is a three-part journey through the extremes of existence. The tracks—Before Birth, During Life, and After Death—trace a bold arc that explores what might happen before we are born, what drives us while we live, and what could follow after death.

Each track is powerful and immersive, pushing emotional and sonic boundaries. Blending cinematic scale with the grit of cyberpunk and the drama of post- and neo-classical music, the album is tightly structured yet constantly shifting. Strings, electronics, and layered textures build a sense of momentum—at times explosive, at times barely holding together, but always with purpose.

With its dynamic energy and richly visual sound, the album is especially suited for sync—amplifying storytelling in film, streaming, and trailers with its emotional and dramatic range.

Fjodor is a neo-classical, minimal artist with a distinctive sound that is both introspective and emotive. Born in Germany and residing in Canada, Fjodor brings together diverse cultural influences to create music that transcends boundaries. Drawing on a range of instruments including the piano and orchestral strings, Fjodor creates an evocative sound that reflects his unique perspective. His music is also heavily influenced by his multicultural family background; his wife is South-Korean and their children were born in Canada & South-Korea. Fjodor’s music seamlessly weaves together these various cultural influences to produce something truly unique and captivating, that is both contemplative and expressive, leading listeners on a journey through an array of emotions and experiences. 
A standout achievement in his career is his music composition for Emmy-nominated CBS spot "Football for Everyone".
Fjodor’s cinematic and emotive compositions have also been featured on high-profile platforms such as BBC, Prime Video, and BT Sports.
