It's time for something a bit different from what we've been releasing so far on Fjordin. It's 2 plays on one idea. The first is with Chris Lie on vocals, the second is more of a dub with more emphasis on self-sampling. The EP hits Beatport Oct. 20th.

Building around a set of piano chords, the idea of this track was more about making a space than a clever hook. I got to use a lot of different sampling techniques aswell as doing some outdoor recording of ambience. It's an understated track, so feel free to fill in the missing blanks...

It's been a crazy year, with many great moments. Thanks everybody for your support!

Apart from all the good stuff, 2016 , again, was also a year of war   and a lot of terrible things happened in far away parts of the world while we we're partying and having a good time.

Funkin Matt - From The Ashes

My first SoFM mix since I was away on my paternity leave this summer, so it's packed with alot of tracks! I even did a couple of mashups in this mix, which I rarely do on podcasts but often do live, so let me know what you think about that ;) This time we're starting of with super chill tracks like Siriusmo's 'Comic' and Bicep's 'Glue', working our way through house and into darker techno like Enrico Sangiuliano's gem 'Astral Projection' (man Enrico makes some ear candy).
