The "Shepard Tone" is an audio illusion which sounds like a perpetually rising or falling tone, without ever exceeding the limits of human hearing. I have applied this principle to a recording of an electric motor [from an elevator] to create a similar effect to that created by Richard King for the "Batpod" in The Dark Knight. The fist track is the clean sound looped; first ascending, and then descending. The second track is the same loop, but treated to give it a more engine-like feel. All feedback is welcome.
