Fondement(s) is a sound photography of the Museum of Art History & Archaeology of Evreux, France, composed in 2016. A limited (50 units) usb card in wood and stone was edited by the Museum. Sound material is mainly room resonances, ultrasounds and infrasounds of the place.

Fondement(s)

Recorded and composed between 2013 and 2015 in Vercors (France). Sound material recorded with ultrasonic, contact and omnidirectional microphones mostly in winter and spring time. Some feedbacks were done in local caves through contact microphones and a amplifier. Isflak

Dark Matters is a circular octophonic (8 channels) composition created at Neptun Art/Science Lab, (Melbu, Norway) during an Artist in Residence in february 2017. The octophonic composition was exhibit first as a sound installation at Le Tetris in Le Havre (april 2018) and Galerie Duchamp in Yvetot (dec 2017). Dark Matters will be perfomed by Franck Dubois september 23th in Plage Sonore #5 within the acousmonium deployed for Pan Festival in Caen, then inside the Planetarium of Lieu Multiple in Poitiers on october 16th in matter of Air Glaciere exhibition. Dark Matters

My aesthetic intentions are directed towards a rediscovery of the sound which gives itself to listen rather than to hear, which presupposes an attention to the impalpable, elusive and nevertheless constitutes a physical and epidermic experience.
Franck Dubois is also member of the experimental music duo MLFD and runs |'Atelier(s), an experimental and improvised music program based in Évreux (France)
