"this song started as an exercise in pushing our boundaries. we were trying new things with rhythmic melodies & exploring the palates of a more soul-infused side of our harmonies. lyrically, we were balancing on the tightrope of clever, real, & playful. our favorite lyric happens in the bridge & deals with one of our favorite things to cook for brunch.
