Flare Tha Rebel links with Oboi Kong on his newest single, “Happy Clouds (Bob Ross Flow)”, a smooth track produced by Bob Pulliam. Flare channels the chill vibes of the late Bob Ross for this tune in a comedic short video connected to the single. The first creates it within their own community and against others, due to systematic oppression, racist policies, and trauma experienced. The second creates chaos for white supremacy and against oppressors, due to pro-Blackness, anti-racist actions, and education. 

As listeners, we are asked the following - in order for the status quo to stay in power, which type of chaos is instigated and which is systematically stifled?

Different Ships

Flare Tha Rebel’s latest song “Child’s Play” takes a holistic approach in describing gun violence. The lyrical narrative showcases the intersectionality between police brutality, mass shootings, violence within systematically oppressed communities, and the United State’s love affair with guns. Coupled with emotive production from Bob Pulliam with added keys from the late Joe Miquelon, the song captures the haunting cycle of trauma and injustice spawned by gun violence and the lack of legislative action to prevent the cycle from repeating.

Child's Play

As evident by the title, "The Revolution Will Not Be Hashtagged" draws inspiration from Gil Scott-Heron's 1971 release "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". The jazzy modern-day adaptation maintains the original tracks call to action but with updated pop culture references. In doing so, this new release leans into battle for racial justice, which has continued even decades later.
