The 5th installment on Vitus’ Curse is a rhythmic adventure by DJ and producer duo VILLA with 5 tracks ranging from tribal infusions and electronic bliss to straight-forward late-night rave vibes straight out of Frankfurt, Germany. Inspired by the extinct bird of Kauai, the project ventures into themes of impermanence and ethereal beauty. Standout tracks embody the aura of intimate gatherings and grand clubs alike, encapsulating an auditory journey that feels both eternal and fleeting. Closing with a transformative remix by French master Ferdinger, this EP is not just a dance record, but an ode to cycles – those that end and those that endure.

“Extinct” is a rhythmic and powerful 4x4 odyssey layered with intricate hi-hats, rolling percussions, and a rawness known from the early 2000’s. The assertive yet hypnotic lead synth mesmerizingly carries the listener toward the peak of the track where it unwinds into a groovy ride full of dynamic twists with an illusion of continuity. This Various Artists project is a culmination of the refinement of IT Recordings sound-vision, guaranteeing a spacey atmosphere filled by groovy low riffs.
Eric Fetcher’s composition is the starting point of this 4-track story, made of a distinct spacey atmosphere and dynamic sequenced kicks.

2nd Track is Alexis Vogel’s Divergence which is made of a bright melodic synth, groovy low end and varied rhythmic patterns maintaining an intense energy throughout the track.

The 3rd composition is a fast paced groovy rolling cut designed by Corium that marks the climax of the story.

Finally Matthieu Benjamin’s Early Mornings is the perfect conclusion to this EP, maintaining the groove of the previous tracks. A refreshing breeze after the storm that makes this project a consistent and diversified tool for the dancefloor.
