This is an EP about many things. It begins and ends with songs about self-doubt, followed by a song about self-belief, and another about the clarity that comes from self-belief when you're just about to lose it and fall right back into self doubt. Both of self belief and doubt are built on lies we tell ourselves either to keep going or give up. It all comes down to choice and the kind of person we want to be. I still haven't figured that out yet. But this year has been hard and made it very clear about the person I have to and need to be.

It's the end of the year and I'm fortunate to say that my pessimistic feelings on this EP were proven wrong. However, that's not how I felt when I made these songs haha. They're an in depth look at myself and how I felt people perceived me romantically so my outlooks were bound to be proven wrong. 

I didn't name names. I have no right to do that. But there's people that may hear this and know it's about them. So listen, enjoy, and hopefully learn something about yourself as I did while making it.

I Will Never Let Myself Down Again

This EP chronicles the events leading up to my breakup with girlfriend. I did my best to make it work but there's nothing that can be done when two people bring out the worst in each other. Even if you love each other, it's not enough if you're not actually good for each other. I hope you enjoy it though. Just to be clear though, I'm the villain and bad-guy in this story.

Everybody Knows...Devil's Never Cry

This is how I wanted to begin the new year. On a positive note. 😅 The song may sound sad but to me it's actually encouraging. It's about who I am now and who I see myself becoming for the better. 

My last Project was so dark lol. So I pushed for something brighter. It's still dark, but the hope that exists in my life right now is shining through on this song. It's my new mantra and pledge to myself to "Figure this out, bring this all around, and not let myself down."

Within The Fifth Clover...Resides A Demon

This is my attempt at making something a little more upbeat. Think Tame Impala meets Nine Inch Nails in terms of the style with a bit of hip hop in it haha. And it appears that I'm still in album/EP mode, so this song actually connect to the song I put out last week. Let me know if you like though. I'm gonna try my best to write songs a little less dark this year.

She Has Sympathy For The Sinners

There's no real deep meaning behind this one. It is my new favorite of all the songs I've ever written though. I pushed my creative self to the limit and I'm so glad it came out as well as it did. The song came from the desire to write something like "Syrup" by Foals which has a chilled slow beat that explodes with energy. And after listening to the song on repeat all day, I was messing around with this beat and figured out how I can do that here haha. So I hope you enjoy it.

U-Phoria

The last EP I released was about getting over my ex. But funny enough, I actually got her back only to realize that she wasn't what I wanted or who I needed to be with. So rather than tell her that, I kinda just pushed her away the day I was recording this song. When we reunited, it felt like I was forcing feelings. And now that she's gone again...I don't miss her at all.

I play guitar. I like rap music. But I love rock music. There's a constant tug of war happening with creatively between the two and somehow I ended up sounding like The Pixies...if Tyler Joseph wrote the lyrics and Kanye West produced. I love it sooooo much!
