The opening track entitled ‘The Joy’ is a perfect showcase of the duos intricate ability to produce a diverse range of dance music. The Paradise Ibiza resident saw an outstanding year in 2015 including securing his 5th Beatport Tech-House number 1, curating an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 and trotting the globe between the likes of South America’s Creamfields, Australia’s Stereosonic and Detroit’s Movement to name a few. Following on from two massive releases on Cajual and Hot Creations, Topping now arrives on Lee Foss’ freshly formed Repopulate Mars label with a trio of heady house numbers. 

‘Baddie’ is a high-octane cut geared for the dancefloor with cavernous kicks, cosmic synths and trippy atmospherics. ‘Majestic’ then conjures up a more low-slung vibe as serene notes join a deafening bassline, until ‘Captivate’ concludes the package with rattling percussion and tantalizing arpeggios.

Patrick Topping - Captivate - Repopulate Mars

Solid Grooves serve up a five-track Ibiza sampler to tie in with their summer of events at Vista Club in Ibiza. In light of this the founders have curated five tracks from some of their core roster that’s illustrative of the Solid Grooves musical aesthetic including PAWSA and Michael Bibi alongside label favourites ONNO, Reelow and Dennis Cruz.

First up our Debut Transmission today, Dennis Cruz ‘Fever’ is a rumbling track boasting echoing percussion and a heady spoken word sample. Michael Bibi then drops a moody number teeming with syncopated rhythms and chopped vocals before ONNO unleashes a cavernous cut named ‘Body Shake’ that’s geared for the peaktime. Next, PAWSA ‘Luster’ is a bass fuelled roller that takes no prisoners until Reelow concludes the package with the intricate ‘Shaolin Slap’.

Ahead of a monster party at ADE in Amsterdam this month, Suara returns with a star-studded remix EP. Coyu's catlovers have chosen 6 of the most successful tracks on the label this year and a legion of their favourite artists to bring the cuts back in to the spotlight. Among the artists brought on board for this special release is UK producer Latmun, who has had an impeccable last twelve months. His stock has skyrocketed since the inimitable 'Def' on VIVa Music. More recently, he's featured with a rework of iconic tune 'Flash' on Green Velvet's Relief Records. He hasn't stopped to look around, however, and this week we showcase his stellar remix of Prok & Fitch 'Tears'. Release date 17/10/16.

Ease The Pain' is the first EP of a completely new sounding string of releases and will be followed by offerings on Gigolo Records, Kompakt and Hot Creations amongst others. The idea of creating different tracks like these came to me when I was at DC10 at Circoloco this summer dancing in the crowd. The beat of 'Africana' was born at that moment and I also had a clear idea of the mood of the vocal. 'Ease The Pain', on the other hand, has a strong house identity, which I'm well known for, coupled with a current tech house beat.
