often sit here on my own, in the place that i call home, though it doesn't seem like home to me, just a place where i lay my head fight my demons as i lie in bed, need my sleep but it don't come easy to me..

my name is neil, i'm a down to earth guy following life's journey. i make no claims about my abilities as a musician and i'm certainly not driven by ego! as my approach is a more humble one. i started a fresh chapter of my life in the summer of 2010 and just over a year in i decided to buy a guitar and try to teach myself to play. my goal was to learn some of my liked songs and cover them for my own pleasure. i met a woman in 2013. a claimed musician and we got together and embarked on a journey together. her desires and purpose musically where somewhat different to mine but it was great to have a musical connection and what seemed like encouragement. she suggested i should try to sing which i wasn't so keen on but i tried! and after much practice i was able to play and sing a handful of covers. anyway as often is the case our journey together ended abruptly! and i found myself in an incomprehensible world of hurt! so since 09/14 my way of dealing with it was to find solace within music and express it through song. i have maybe 6 songs that will be uploaded shortly. my songs are simple and my expression is real. my lyrics are from the heart and reflect my feelings at various points over the last 2 years. i don't put them in genres or styles as they are what they are! me my words and a guitar and some chords simple! recorded by my great friend JACK POUT(check him out on here! talented guy)on his pc with reaper. i sang and played at the same time in the same take. also a mention to elisa nesta for providing the cause of my expression! thanks for reading and listening. feel free to say hello should anyone want to.
