We are excited to be unveiling a return to physical releases from highly successful Glasgow based imprint
Flatpack Traxx. Featuring four killer original tracks from Craig Hamilton who has graced some of the
undergrounds finest labels including Robsoul Recordings and Tango this will be released on both vinyl and
digital formats to kick- start’s the label’s 2015 schedule and new direction. All the tracks are trademark house,
managing to encompass deep bass-driven grooves, a sharp techy edge with a sprinkle of funk and soul vibe
throughout. !

Opening up with the 4 track EP with ‘Transponder’ which delivers crisp percussion, classic house
vocal cuts, groove laden drums and a sweet sub-laden bassline from the accomplished DJ &
Producer. Continuing with ‘Phonology’ which is full of attitude from the off, sharp sounding riding hats
nice breaks and punchy drums, but it’s the wonky melodies and funky bass that make this stand out
from the crowd, sure to win over any crown at warm up or peak time. ‘Rouge State’ a collaboration
with Lloyd Kenny brings up the all important B-Side’s peppered with funk and shoulder shaking bass
it’s full of atmosphere and groove. Finally the last cut on the record ‘The Vow’ providing a perfect DJ
tool and mood changer, skippy hats and a riding 303 acid rhythm has all the hallmarks of a classic
party starter . !

Glasgow based imprint Flatpack Traxx returns with a no nonsense 4 track EP made for the dance floor. A collaboration from 2 of the UK's brightest new talents Dissonance and Intact. Both of whom play an integral role within London based collective Surface Music. 

Dissonance an Anglo/Italian producer was exposed to strong musical influences having relocated to the UK at an early age. His recent productions are a voyage of exploration, recording for the likes of Spain's Oblack label and 2651 Records alongside Los Pastores and the Willers Brothers respectively. 

This collaboration marks the first foray into production for Intact, who has been enjoying success as a regular at of one of London's most exciting clubs Egg. Where he curates the Obzerv Ldn brand, and this month claiming a residency for Manchester based Label ANIMA.
 
'Austere' opens the 4 track EP with it's crisp percussive elements, classic house stabs and a sweet rolling bassline. Before continuing with 'Back To' which in contrast is a far moodier cut. Spacey pads and chopped repetitive vocals add texture and reinforce the dominant rhythmic elements.  

Over on flip 'Bleak' sets the tone with fat rolling beats, layered key stabs and trademark chopped vocals scattered throughout. 'Nocturne' closes out the EP a thick subby groove with dynamic rhythms, hypnotic pads and deep analogue tones.
