Inspired by albums such as Joe Zawinul’s 1971 self titled record, and films such as Marathon Man and Three Days of The Condor, 'The Atrium' is a nod to saturated sounds from the early 1970s, while referencing brass and woodwind sounds from some of the most acclaimed films of that period. This is the second single released by London artist Robohands in 2024, with five musicians in total featuring on this track. Mixing performed by Shawn Clendening (Chicago, IL) and mastering performed by Goncalo Peixoto (Lisbon, Portugal).

Solid Steel in association with Serato (3rd July) In Hour 2 we hand over to The Revenge, who serves up a perfect summertime mix in time for another hot weekend. His album 'Love that will not die' was out earlier this year on his own Roar Groove label and you can catch him playing live at Fabric on Saturday 4th July. He had this to say about his mix;
“I made this mix on an uncharacteristically sunny day in Glasgow with the smokey waft of barbecue in the air (or maybe it’s a chip pan fire). Given these balmy conditions, I figured a summertime slo-mo mix was in order. I mixed this at home on my usual set up - E&S mixer with a Moog Delay pedal and a couple of CDJs. I edit a lot of what I play for my sets so all of these have been plucked or pumped in someway. Right … I’m off to make a michelada.”
