One of the famous tracks from the 1980 cult classic "The Blues Brothers". This was one of two jazz numbers we've performed so far.
The intro on this recording has been cut (our live performance featured a monologue inspired by that in the film)

Everybody Needs Somebody To Love (Flat Stanley & The Accidentals instrumental cover)

A very late addition to the line-up at our first gig, and one of the few pieces I kept in the original key! The structure of the piece made it very easy to assign solos for each instrument - the clarinet features in the intro/outro (and second half of each verse), the trumpet plays the first half of each verse, and the chorus is split between bass and tenor trombones.

Our band's take on Derek & The Dominoes' classic hit single "Layla". It's been transposed down a tone to make the key signatures less awkward for our trumpeter and clarinetist! The piano coda features trumpet, trombone, and clarinet solos.

One of those pieces that I started writing then forgot about for a while. It was dusted off and heavily rewritten a couple of months ago for a composition competition, coming 5th overall.

This version is scored for a trombone octet, because you can never have too many trombones (Having said that, I am rearranging it for a trombone quartet soon!).

This is part of the same suite as my Allemande in A, so it uses the same idea to create the main theme. You may recognise a variant of a famous video game theme about halfway through!

Each chorus features either trumpet or clarinet, and the verses feature tenor trombone and bass trombone, harmonising in the duo's iconic style.
