Reminds me of the days when all the mates wanted to become dejays and the nightlife in Dublin has never been better! I remember the night with the robots and there was a shooting outside... mad and something only Dublin has!

Die British Invasion machte auch vor dem deutschen Schlager nicht halt. Auch wenn die als laut und rebellisch verschriene Beatmusik auf den ersten Blick nur wenig mit der braven Schlagerszene gemeinsam hatte, versuchten doch einige Plattenfirmen den enormen Erfolg der englischsprachigen Bands für ihre eigenen kommerziellen Interessen zu nutzen. So engagierte man Ende der 60er-Jahre junge attraktive Schlagersängerinnen, um neue Hits mit kessen Texten und jeder Menge Anglizismen aufzunehmen, die vor allem das jugendliche Publikum gewinnen sollten.
