Please Wait - a collaborative duo made up of Ta-ku x Matt McWaters - is the culmination of numerous online exchanges & years of sharing voice memos, stems, musical ideas & TikTok links between the two.

Their cathartic approach to this body of work has been more about self expression than anything else. Leaving them with multiple demos that cover a range of issues / experiences that they have both been through at different times of their lives. 

Both inject the project with their own vocals, production & storytelling. With the help of some of their friends; Kerri - a close collaborator of the duo who has amassed his own following from his own unique style of songwriting. Alayna - the buzzing singer songwriter from New Zealand coming off her latest Sweet Soul EP & Masego - the soul super-heavyweight who needs no introduction.
