The sound research into the electronic trials has realized the combination to a particular character that has influenced the whole part of kinematics beginning 900.

The last theme of Fldcast series embraces the concept of “found footage”, technique that exploits the recovery of samples A/V to rework them in completely different contexts.

The gained route in the second part of Field Experiments complete an important step in building its own sound print that combine concrete musical strands with the sample recovery textures in different time concepts.

Over the Mountains is Segue's second full length release with Silent Season, the long time coming follow up to 2013's Pacifica. In a similar vein to Pacifica, Over the Mountains transports the listener to a different place and time, somewhere deep under a forest canopy on an unknown path leading to a majestic mountain vista somewhere above the clouds. The only thing keeping you going is knowing that things will only get better, because you never know what's waiting over the next hill. Like an all day adventure through the Canadian Rockies, the album hits many highs and lows, driving forward at a relentless, hypnotic pace that lures you into a timeless sense of space. Once again Segue delivers a collection of long ambient-dub tracks that are filled with just the right amount of melody to provoke the mind of a focused listener, or to provide a serene atmosphere to fill any space.

The 31st FIBER Podcast expresses the ideas of regrowth and rejuvenation after a long winter. Silent Season’s label boss Jamie McCue takes us to the coast of British Columbia for a two hour long journey of deep and ethereal sounds inspired by the radiant beauty of the rainforests of Canada’s Vancouver Island. “I recorded this mix in my back garden chilling out in the sun with a few friends. The night before we played a pretty big gathering so this was the perfect vibe to chill out and enjoy some deeper music.”

Uferkind is a French/American graphic designer, photographer and event-organiser. As part of the collective and label Kollektives Bewusstsein he helps organise events in different clubs and Open Air locations across Berlin. Feeling the need to share his love for deep, ambient and dub techno he’s recently gotten into djing at these events and beyond.

A special album created by Taka Noda aka Mystica Tribe from Japan. Island Oasis features 8 dubbed out tracks that reverberate through the forest.

The cover photo Bonsai Fir Tree is symbol of resilience, strength and determination. It is a shared connection between Japan and Canada. 

Featuring an analogue mixdown and mastering on tape through a Studer A80, ½ inch tape machine by Stefan Betke of Scape Mastering. The album Island Oasis will be available in limited edition vinyl, CD, cassette and digital formats Winter 2016.

Mystica Tribe is the musical alias of Tokyo-based producer, Taka Noda. Drawing on a wide range of influences – from dub, soul, bass music, rhythm and blues – Mystica Tribe has quickly been developing a very distinctive sound that exists in a weird, freaked out zone between dub and techno. Noda is especially interested in deep, psychedelic music, and this is reflected in his productions, which are equally suited for late night listening sessions or bent, broken in dancefloors. His first track, “Meditation Stick”, was released in 2011 on Dutch label SD Records, backed by two remixes from label owners Syncom Data. This was followed by two more EPs on SD Records in 2013: “Stars are Mine” and “Flowers”. Artists like Gilles Peterson and 2562 have supported these well-received releases, and his track “His Temple” recently appeared on Pangaea’s Fabric Live 73 mix CD. In 2014, Noda is launching his own label, Mystica Tribe Records, through which he plans to continue developing his uniquely psychedelic take on dub and techno. His recent EP, “Lizard”, was released on his label in 2014. “Jade Eye” was released on his label in 2016.

Earthen Sea is New York based musician Jacob Long. Since 2006, Long has released music on a variety of formats on a number of labels including Lovers Rock, Imminent Frequencies, and Other People. The music has been noted for its swirling low end, pulsing melodies and propulsive barely-there rhythms and his work has also been described as  having a knack for texture that creates a disorienting, lost-in-your head sensation that allows it to work as both trippy ambience or immersive dance music.

Through darkness comes light takes the listener on a journey through the fog filled mountains of Indonesia. Through darkness comes light isolates the movements of nature and the artists experience, resulting in new sonic landscapes that reveal an inseparable relationship between music and soundscape. The natural orchestra is presented in a dream-like manner as diverse as the landscape itself. The sounds will have you drift through different states of mind.

Faru is a Berlin-based musician and designer, born in Bonn, Germany. Since 2016 he is releasing Drone and Ambient music. His works have been described as a natural orchestra in a dream-like manner. Exploring movements of nature, noise and harmonics. He is also producing and playing Techno under the name Sert.
