Multi Culti's astrological archive expands into lunar phase with deep trips from CROWDPLEASER, BIRD OF PARADISE, DREEMS, NICK MURRAY & KRIS BAHA.

The trip begins with Swiss journeyman Crowdpleaser teaming up with Egyptian homie Mah'mood for a majikal rendition of pre-Islamic poem YASMIN, featuring hauntingly beautiful vocals from Tunisian wedding singer Habib. <3

UK-native BIRD OF PARADISE joins the crew, fresh off releases on Throne of Blood and Correspondant, with 'The Holy Mountain,' a Jodorowsky-scale epic that sounds like the full-moon party you should've gone to instead of that disgusting frat-party you landed at down the beach.

Label guru DREEMS comes up to bat with the herbal Sine 'O' The Tymes, refining the entire funk of Princeness and bottling into an acid genie bottle, bumping along with a few lazy cowbells in tow, until finally giving way to a frankly astonishingly pretty finish. Masterful. We are all feeling this one.

Finally, Australian doof dingos NICK MURRAY & KRIS BAHA bring up the tempo, rocking out in their inimitable style with electrified guitars, and hypnotic grooves that speak to a lifetime of overhearing digeridoos. 

We live in a beautiful world, ladies and dudes... cherish it in all it's different forms, love it more than you judge it, dance and don't be afraid. Never forget we're in this together: we are all one mind.

Cosmovision presents ¨Animals of the Earth ¨

The human race has lived and shared this space we call Earth with the animal kingdom for millions of years but today, most cultures have abandoned the idea that humans are animals like the others. Our modern societies have been treating Mother Earth as if it was their property, extracting resources, polluting constantly, changing the landscape, killing the other animals we and destroying its natural balance.

Since the Industrial Revolution, humanity has killed 83% of all wild mammals and half of all plants of the Earth. Two hundred species of living beings are going extinct every single day. We collectively need to change so many things in areas such as the use of plastic, meat consumption, contaminating energies, day to day overconsumption and more. How can artists raise awareness regarding this?

Thinking on how to be simple but at the same time Universal, Cosmovision Records presents ¨Animals of the Earth¨. For this project we have gathered to co-create an ecosystem that lives in a music album. Producers from many places on Earth explored their connections with our animal cousins, remembering that the condor, the rabbit, the deer, the frog and all the others are our partners in the long trip that this green and lively planet takes in the Universe.

We invite you to come with us on this journey through the musical ecosystem of the ¨Animals of the Earth¨ to discover, respect and care for these beautiful beings that live with us.


About the song: 

 I still remember my 1hr talk with an old and bold Perequito (in cage unfortunately) in Cienfuegos in Cuba, it was really enlightening as it was looking at me really surprised to hear my weird human accent haha. This encounter really inspired me so I started using birds sounds in my tracks, and for this particular one, I used parakeet singing, but also the sound of wings slapping the water when they clean themselves as a percussion loop! Then recorded some cow-boy guitar and spacey synths before working on the cumbia gimmicks. 
I really loved making this one.

PREMIERE: Da Iguana - La Cumbia Del Periquito [Cosmovision Records]

Fleeting Wax is a new label by Basel DJs Mehmet Aslan and Miajica from Alma Negra, whose fame has spread far and beyond Switzerland. The EP contains three striking edits from the reaches of what could be considered world disco in the widest sense of the word. It’s fair to say that this is the embodiment of a now-familiar Basel sound – all sultry playfulness, Turkish delights and sun-drenched pop-not-pop. The first is Tai’s "Schlager Edit", built on a combo of hypnotic Marimba-dreaming and that irresistibly sugary voice. Istanbul digger DJ Fattish immerses himself into the singer-songwriter wealth of his country. And label co-owner Miajica weds Italian cantautore passion to the dancefloor. With it’s first release, Fleeting Wax clearly lives up to it’s romantic promise: Unearthing forgotten relics and infusing sleeping beautys with new life.
