Explorative Chillwave

‘False Sunset’ is the fourth single off the upcoming debut album from Scandinavian composer Infralyd. ‘False Sunset’ is a mixture of experimental electronic, neoclassical, and ambient music, which combined turns into a laid-back IDM soundscape consisting of piano, spheric pads, and a complex beat.

Motifs is  an exploration of self-generative and repetitive patterns that overlap with each other in search of clarity.
As It evolves, the piece ties the electronic world to the modern classical one, starting from a place of uncertainty  and ending in a more meditative state.

Created entirely with my voice* as a parallel to my mission in giving 'a voice' to mental illness. 100% of proceeds from sales will be donated to the CMHA Saskatoon.

*upon some forensics during mixing, I discovered that I made some snapping sounds that made it into A Voice (II). Only after creating what are now known as A Voice (I) and (II) did I consciously decide to constrain myself to my voice for this project. With these tracks being the beginning of the current musical journey I am on, I ultimately decided to respect what the tracks were at the time of their inception. My plan is to create a specific number of ‘A Voice’ pieces before moving on to something else.

Hold Up

I took the alarm Springtide and extended by adding bass and drums as well as additional chords later on for 8 bar phrases. I really liked this song originally but felt it was lacking. Perhaps some day, I'll make this one a little longer as well.

‘Magic’ Is a sanctuary, an emotional strong room to fall back to where you can realign, take back your heart, re-kindle the fire, stop running and be open, face on with the world as it stands. As a song, it is sung as a bridge to a feeling all humans are capable of, where there is infinite courage, a strong stillness, a universal warmth that can be felt even in the harshest conditions. 
A symphony of field recordings comes together to scuff and blur the lines and features of this song, like a smooth mirror reflecting the listener back to themselves, in their reality, with a tone of truth and simplicity.
This song is released with a music video with a brave concept that both challenges the performer and the viewer and explores the engagement between artist and audience.
