Corran Fires

Alan Fleming-Baird studied with composer Sir John Tavener before attending the Royal College of Music studying; composition with Jeremy Dale Roberts, piano with David Ward, and conducting with Neil Thompson. He then received a John Mather Scholarship to undertake post-graduate studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He has also taken part in seminars with: Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, George Benjamin, Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, and Brian Eno. As well as his qualifications in music, he also holds an Honours Degree in English Literature from the Open University. His music has been performed by : London Festival Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Scottish Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia of London, Psappha, City of Birmingham Choir, Belcea Quartet, Edinburgh Quartet, Paragon Ensemble, Croft Ensemble, as well as various amateur orchestras and ensembles.
