Felix started DJing in 2001, mostly playing dancehall and reggae at countless clubs and bars in Berlin. After a while he got in touch with MC Sammy Dread and joined the legendary One Blood Sound. They played with acts like Daddy Freddy, Mystic Dan, YT and Ranking Joe. In 2006 he met Richi and Chris from Potsdam based Rocketeer Sound and played as a resident in Waschhaus Potsdam for two years.
At the same time he discovered Grime and Dubstep and focused more and more on playing bass-heavy music. In 2010 he joined the WOBBLE crew to put things to another musical level.
However, after years of exploring different genres and styles, Flex's musical journey took a more focused turn. Over time, his true love for roots reggae and dub emerged as the heart of his sound. What started as a long-standing passion gradually intensified as he spent years collecting records during his breaks from DJing, building a deep, ever-growing vinyl collection. These records are more than just music for Flex—they represent a connection to the past, a culture, and a movement that resonates with him on a personal level.
The focus of his sets now centers around roots reggae and dub, both genres rich in soul, rhythm, and history. Flex finds that this music always carries a unique vibe, one that not only speaks to the heart but also makes people move. Whether it's the deep, steady basslines or the spacious, hypnotic dub effects, his sound always invites the crowd to get lost in the groove and lose themselves in the dance. For Flex, it’s not just about playing tunes; it’s about creating an atmosphere—a vibe that moves the people, connects them to the music, and brings a sense of unity and freedom to the dancefloor.
