Admittedly, that took a little longer - but: good things take time and good tracks are still rare despite the insane amounts of output. Zero Cashs "Whookie Whack" takes you on one of those long nights of partying, where it's only when the sun rises that you realize what you've just experienced. And then this deep house track comes at just the right time - loose percussion elements, relaxed vocals and a driving 4/4 beat that holds everything together and ensures that the party is far from over. 
"We did it" is quite different. Minimalist and with an almost industrial funk flavor. Constantly bouncing up and down to this cinematic break revealing tribute to one of the greatest filmmakers of all time - Jean-Luc, we salute.

After the league was sealed at the last and first meeting last year, it took more than a year to follow up here. But the 'Catch Up EP' has it all - 'The Big Shower' gets everything and everyone wet. A driving 2-step/UK garage beat emerges from the hazy, foggy atmosphere, driving pleasantly throughout. 
You quickly find yourself in a film noir whose story you can guess but never be sure where it will end. But after the break everything is clear - redemption takes place on the dance floor.
'Rumble' rolls through the picture with sub-bass right from the start, accompanied by sharp percussion elements and a dystopian sci-fi western film atmosphere, unifying all storylines in a Mad Max-like scenario. The momentarily sounding harmonica can't do anything for good here either, the machines are made to run and there is no escape from the groove. Nothing for the faint-hearted, they, unfortunately, have to hear something else.

The man in the ski mask is back to present a new downbeat stomper on Cologne's Flexidisco imprint. Building on the sustained heartbeat, Aurora's main theme slowly rises to create an infernal, body-shattering impact after the main break - and yet the result is a gorgeous and unique blend of downbeat, indietronica and dub. As always, a Hardtwald track leaves a few questions unanswered. But that seems to be intentional, you don't always have to tell everything. Apart from that, the music does all this by itself.

There's a lot going on under the chestnut tree: Hendrik Meyer is a DJ, producer and composer who is known for his unique mix of electronic and experimental music. He has been releasing on labels like PNN or Areal since the early 2000s. His own record label 'Cabdriver' has specialized in the release of avant-garde electronic dance music since 2019 and his debut on Flexidisco also impresses with complex rhythms and unconventional soundscapes.
In detail: there are tons to discover, there are meandering worlds of sound from which small, sparkling units jump out and glitter, only to mutate again or disappear afterwards. And yet impressions remain, which accompany wonderful nocturnal car rides or walks as an inner soundtrack. Not only that connects the two completely different tracks excellently, but we don't have to reveal everything. You have to listen to it yourself, we did it too. Quite often admittedly. So put it in your playlists, you won't regret it.

Zero Cash is back with a collab track, this time with his Cologne teammate MB Valent - straight to the point!
"50 Cent" begins with light, airy chords that caress the senses, setting the stage for a mesmerising dialogue between the iconic characters Omar and Brother Mouzone from the legendary series 'The Wire'. Their words resonate and give the music a special vibe that blends seamlessly with the pulsating rhythm. When the strings come in, there is no doubt that this is a tune that has HOUSE written all over it.
As if that wasn't enough, Zero Cash adds another banger to his discography: "Keep It Short" is a stripped-down groove skeleton with almost outrageous funkiness makes you want to dance. The soulful gospel vocals deliver a good dose of anthemic quality and positive vibes for anyone with functioning senses. Cologne has now been put back on the HOUSE map, and after the break, there really is no stopping us at all. Have fun!

HARDTWALD team up with Khan (of Finland) on 'Hall' to create another soundtrack for a non-existent movie. Khan's vocals are a perfect match for the instrumentation - sublimely nuanced yet brittle. The song meanders between multi-layered pads that create an echoing tension and a stoically trudging beat framework, eventually surrendering to a slightly out-of-tune piano line and melody-giving strings.

Zero Cash, head of Flexidisco, makes the robots dance and invites none other than Mr. Wenner, whose label debut was 4 years ago. You may know him as part of projects such as Niederflur, misc. or Monophace, which were released on labels such as M_nus, Kompakt or Sender (under misc. also as a remixer for Depeche Mode, among others). This release sees the first collabo of the duo - definitely not the last! The track is a (deep) techno-house sculpture that builds a successful bridge between 90s abstract house and Caribou meets Sirius Mo, not without adding a thick BICEP glaze. If you can put robots under so much pressure that the result takes you into your head cinema as well as onto the dancefloor, you can't be mad anyway. Kind of obvious, isn't it?
