Madonna - Physical Attraction (Dub Version)

Dance Club Classic Revitalization!   I have reworked this classic deep album cut to update it's sound and make it more DJ friendly, but mostly the reason for my 2013 remix is to hopefully give this song it's dignity back after I heard that god-awful remix from the new Donna Summer tribute album that just recently dropped.  There is a whole community of music lovers, DJ's and fans who are in an uproar over how awful most of the mixes were from that compilation - and I happen to be one of them.  I hope you will enjoy my interpretation of this - one of my favorites from the "Once Upon A Time" album.  

DONNA SUMMER - WORKING THE MIDNIGHT SHIFT (2013 WILD LIFE! REMIX)

"Love on Top of Love", subtitled "Killer Kiss" on single releases, was the first single from Jones' ninth studio album Bulletproof Heart. It was produced by C+C Music Factory's David Cole and Robert Clivilles. Another album track, "On My Way", made the single B-side in the UK, while "Dream", a track available only on Bulletproof Heart CD releases, elsewhere. The song met with considerable success and reached number one on the Billboard Hot Club Dance Play chart in December 1989.
The music video features Jones wearing a swimsuit and sunglasses in a pool with a black-and-white screen in the background showing her smoking. A subsequent scenes show Jones in bed wearing a swim cap while surrounded by men. Jones originally shot the video with a Danish actor Sven-Ole Thorsen, whom she dated,playing her boyfriend but his scenes were cut out. The video was directed by Greg Gorman.
2013 Mus Threee try to put hand on this classic and the result is a quiet deep house production that surely will grab your hearth.

Romeo & Juliet is the first studio album by the disco musician Alec R. Costandinos and the Syncophonic Orchestra released in 1978. It was recorded at Trident Studios, London, in September 1977 and released by Ibis in France and Casablanca Records in the US.
The album consists of one over 30-minutes long disco suite composed of five acts, including various instruments and genres. It included famous collaborators such as Don Ray, Herbie Flowers, Peter Van Hooke, Alan Hawkshaw, Chris Karan, Frank Ricotti and the photographer Ron Slenzak. One fragment was released as a "Romeo and Juliet" single and reached the top of US Hot Dance Club Play chart in March 1978. The album was called "conceptual masterpiece" by the AllMusic reviewer Jason Birchmeier, who gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I am a former club DJ with nearly 15 years of dance/club experience although I have been collecting dance/club music since it was invented and have been collecting records/music my whole life.  I was also an assistant to the director of one of Detroit's oldest record pools for 3 years.  I have worked with Martha Wash, The Weather Girls, Viola Wills, RuPaul, Pamala Stanley and Thelma Houston.

I have a passion for music - especially dance and disco classics - and have recently started remixing and doing additional production for the classics that have become outdated in hopes of exposing the new generations to some really, really great music that they may be too young to have ever heard.  Some of the new club music is good too, but I find that the majority of it lacks what I believe makes a great dance record great - a great hook, catchy melody, and stellar vocals and lyrics.  It is rare to find a current record with all three ingredients but when it happens, it's magic.  I find most current club music to be banal.

If you happen to hear my remixes anywhere else, rest assured that they originated from me.  I have spent countless hours on these mixes and editing/remixing and additional production is one of the true loves of my life.
