Divinity Blues Remix

guitars, bass, more guitars, beats, loops..this is an open improvised jam, layered tracks using a steinburg 2 channel interface. I Recorded a Clean acoustic bass, which  has two channels, the pickup on the bass and the other, A heil condenser mic. The guitar I use  is a PRS se single cut run through various pedals and through an SWR amp with a secondary TC Electronic bass amp. that entire signal goes to my Mac laptop through the Steinburg interface. its a simple but effective setup for my home studio.  I hope you enjoy

its a slower piece with a repetitive baseline. there are two basses one with the repetitive droning rhythm, the other is a lead bass that I weave with the guitar. the rest are sampled keyboard loops

loops with slide guitar, all guitars tuned to Drop D .  the slide was performed on a modified 1917 pre war flat top with nylon strings, the 2nd guitar is a Larrivee L05 picked up by a S.Duncan humbucker

Sculpting sound is what its all about for me.  Mayhem ensues and after a few hours I end up with various sonic expressions. Some pan out some don't.  It's all about the journey.  I am not traditionally trained in music. I am a photographer and artist (painter and printer), My influences are wide, I love to listen.  I produce music as a sort of sonic therapy, anyway you slice it, its good for the soul. Most of what I do is not polished professionally as I am not a sound engineer and I consider the pieces sketches or "works in progress".  I tend to go back and re-adjust the dials on everything I do. I play acoustic bass, acoustic/electric guitars and percussion. My studio is a heap of cables running in all directions with various speakers and mic's surrounding my work space..
