Written after lead singer, Ollie, heard a surreal sequence of 5am news reports, this anthemic synth-laden rock track expresses his sense of awe and incredulity; ‘Trump’s latest tweet, more fake news and an update on the Brexit saga’. Is there stranger things to come? Recorded with producer Chris Porter (George Michael, Bowie, Elton John) the band tracked it live at Visconti Studio.

A grandson's tribute to his veteran grandfather...
The song follows the story of Leslie James Pink (grandfather to our guitarist Tom Pink) who, at 17, disguised his age in order to enlist in the RAF in World War II. Being the centenary of the First World War, we thought it a fitting time to remember ‘Jim’ as he was known.

Jim took part in the D-Day landings of 1944 & served in France, Belgium, Holland & Germany. Some of the things he witnessed were horrific, including the concentration camp at Bergen-Belsen. At such a young age he was irrevocably changed, so the song is dedicated to servicemen & women like him, and their families, who continue to live with the consequences of war long after the guns are silent.
