The Tiga/Zombie Nation supergroup returns with another blast of cortex-sizzling electro-funk. Featuring a remix by Nautiluss.

The latest single off the PARTYS OVER EARTH LP romances the grindstone with five and a half minutes of hard labor in the Analog Mines. 

"This extended 12" version is meant to honor the spirit of the Working Man. It is the product of two pairs of hands getting hands-on with the machines, pumping out the jam and punching out the clock," says Tiga, the man who puts the "T" in ZZT, and the "H" in Chaos.

The release also features a remix by Nautiluss, the new techno alias of Thunderheist's Graham Zilla. Look for his amazing Turbo debut EP, due in early 2012.

And while you're looking for that, look for Work Pt. II, which includes remixes by The Advent & Spiriakos, Gingy & Bordello, and Norman Nodge.

While the London underground house music scene was blossoming through the mid-nineties, the English city of Sheffield had also made its mark on international music culture. Out of the Warp Records camp, emerged Chris Duckenfield and Richard Brown’s project, Swag (not to be confused with South London’s Swag Records), whose early releases on Jus’ Trax cemented them as go-to remixers between the late 90s to early naughties. After Neotropiq’s Asad Rizvi, aka Silverlining, met Chris in person, they exchanged numbers, and soon enough, decided to swap remixes. After Swag remixed a release by Appleheadz (a project between Asad with Charlie Inman and Kester Lyddon) for Loaded Records, Chris asked them to remix something off their now legendary Primitive label. The result was this swingy, atmospheric and bassline-driven slice of deep house, that has been in high demand on Discogs for a few years now. On the flip, is another acid-tinged groover by Appleheadz track that originally came out on their Moontan EP on Reverberations. Don’t sleep on this as it is likely to fly out fast!

We gather together artists tuned into the unique language the label speaks. 

Italian producer Lapucci first appeared on Partisan last year alongside Kashawar. This time he returns to Partisan with the nagging, hard-funking “Sunday On Andromeda,” which fuses tough, swinging drums with wild, strafing synth lines that shape out a dystopian sci-fi atmosphere. Francis Smith makes his first appearance with snappy, electro-flavoured cosmic traveler “Tracks.” 

Rob Amboule and Manuel Schatz have strong credentials between them, from labels like 20:20 Vision and NorthSouth to crucial low key white label drops. Their “Lidanon” is an intricately programmed electro burner that brims with creativity and infectious energy. Established Partisan alumni Ish strikes a reflective tone on EP closer “Time Is A Construct,” letting lingering pads set the mood and pinging percussive FX fill out the space. 

With variety and invention to match the rock-solid rhythm sections, these four distinctive cuts loosely define what Partisan is all about – star gazing club tracks that place personality at the front of the mix and point to the possibilities contained within techno as an art form.
