This week's episode of Global Vibe Radio is a full recording of Tripeo's 4-hour set at TAG in Chengdu, China on Feb 23rd of 2019.

A soundtrack for dark cellars and strobe filled clubs, molded from a pure and uncut techno template. That’s what Darko Esser’s Tripeo alter ego is only and all about. His ‘First Trip’ debut at the end of 2012 took the techno scene by storm and received massive support from key figures around the globe. Now that the dust has started to settle down, it has become clear that Tripeo is here to stay.

His work since has found a home on labels such as Theory, BALANS, PoleGroup, Deep Sound Channel as well as 4 new vinyl-only Trips on his self-titled imprint. Tripeo is a force to be reckoned with on stage as well, as he proved in his machine funk-driven live shows as well as tireless, hypnotic DJ sets in some of the finest clubs and festivals around, as this recording we are presenting to you today proves.

Hey and welcome to another episode of the Ballroom Records Radio Show!
It's great to have you back on board again for this one, again streaming live on twitch, as well as on all your radio stations and on SoundCloud, Mixcloud, iTunes, and so on.

I hope you all had a Happy Easter, of course it's been all very different for us staying home, not going outside.

In this episode I'm going to play you a lot of new tracks from our Ballroom Records’ labels from Ballroom Black with the Black Gems VA Vol. II which is out since the 13th of April and our upcoming Ballroom Records Secret Gems Vol. VII which will be out on Monday 27th.

Guestmix in the second hour comes from Belgium artist AM.I. Very talented producer and DJ and I'm supposed to play at one of her upcoming events in Belgium in Antwerp, unfortunately we’re not too sure if that's going to happen. It would be in May so we'll see! I’ll keep you posted about that one. Anyway AM.I’s got an upcoming EP on Ballroom Black in a couple of weeks time so yeah check out her mix in the second hour it's a great one!

I started listening to electronic music many bpm’s ago. I took part in a rave first time in the late 90’s, when clothes were more colorful and hairdos looked like modern spaceships. At first I found techno and trance, then progressive house and deep house came along. Nowadays my taste of music is influenced from all of those genres. I started to play records because I wanted to give people possibility to experience that magical feeling with the music when you forget time and place, when neither the past, nor the future exists. I want my gigs to be smooth, continuous journeys from deep hypnotic soundscapes to body moving tech beats.
So now, go listen my recorded sets or come hear me play live, anyway I’m better at dj:ing than in writing bios ;)
