FLINTAmix006 - Our sixth mix comes by way of Ezra (they/them), a non-binary DJ based in Queens NY, self-described as "a multi-genre DJ mixing for music nerds and internet users”. They have a broad palette and use DJing as a way to draw connections between these disparate sources of inspiration, creating a cohesive experience out of all of the things they enjoy. FLINTAmix is a mix series dedicated to uplifting and bringing together people who fall outside of the cis-male patriarchy • F.L.I.N.T.A. - Female / Lesbian / Intersex / Non-binary / Trans* / Agender. FLINTA is a term originating in German queer circles originally standing for “Frauen, Lesben, Intersexuelle, Nicht-binär, Trans• and Agender”, essentially a gender-focused version of LGBTQ, creating an umbrella for marginalized gendered existence, including women and people of female-bodied experience, as well as any type of trans and non-binary existences. The term is often used to kindly indicate spaces that are sheltered from the cis-male gaze.
