Anton Kuertz is an Amsterdam based producer accompanied by an electronic accordionist and vocalist. Their sound, with grooving 115-120 kicks a minute, lies within the deep house spectrum but entails a certain roughness and originality you won’t come across often. On stage they perform as a live ensemble proving once more that clubbing and live music can go hand in hand. 

For our fifth release we took two of Anton Kuertz most solid and vibrant productions. The combination of analog bass and acoustic elements like the piano and guitar provides an easy listening perspective that is greased up by the suggestive leading vocals. They have you slowly wade trough the jungle of your consciousness, hence The Jungle Issue. Phatty is a result of house weirdness with a new direction as homage to Bob Moog's most recent invention. The playful clarinet tune tops it off and makes it suitable as opening track for a house musical.

ME.N.U. experimented by not listening to the original before making the remix. He took inspiration from the piano and vocals and went from a mellow dreamy feeling to a dark percussive ride on the bass line express. It seems to end after the main break, however it extends to an unexpected snare and clap fiasco. Camiel Daamen wanted to keep all the elements and stay true to the original idea of Phatty. However he did his trick and made it deeper, mesmerizing and a true Daamen of its own.

London deep house hero Betoko is releasing his brand new ‘Blisters’ track on Hedonism Music.
The track is made of solid basslines and melodic arpeggios with evolving filters that create the buildup till it explodes. Betoko wrote the lyrics back in 2010, but he always wanted to do something special with them. So after a few years they found there place in his new release „Blisters“ on Hedonism Music.

The lyrics speak about the day after a huge party, essentially the hangover. When you had a great night out and life seems beautiful and perfect, but on the next day you get back to reality and all you are left with are „Blisters in my mind“.

‘Blisters’ contains a fine selection of remixes from Germany’s talented Johannes Brecht and UK based Third Son.
