Two sessions so far, day 1 into day 2 in this file... Detroit feel, my SCI Sixtrak pretending to be a 303; not bad at all!!

Atilla2(WIP merge)

This Juno-106 Detroit riff has now had three different backing tracks, and gradually its getting tighter .. tho the bass drum is gonna get replaced again I think, Abletons saturator just aint doing it right ..  the main riff gets too repetative in the early stages too; still plenty work needed on this . .. .  hows it sound to you?

Infineon (WIP Merge 2)

This one is a bit strange, it sounds so fat in the studio, but pretty thin and weak everywhere else, it defo benefits from being turned up louder; theres a lot of deep sub under there .. all the synths parts are Jupiter-6, with various mashed up stuff to fill out the atmosphere, looking for dark deep minimal stuff here .. can anyone spot the unusual timing going on?

Resistor (WIP)

Right, now we're talking .. this one is fat; even if I say so myself .. Jupiter-6 main riff, Waldorf Pulse atmospherics .. this is getting really close init?! Hows it sound to you?!

Diode (WIP)

Day 2 of sequencing the MC-202 on its own, but this time the square wave suited the sequence better .. the live take was recorded with approximate BPM and then fixed with Ableton in re-pitch mode so it didn't warp my audio .. then created a bass drum to work with it, added various post-processing.. that's about it thus far . .. 

202SQR (WIP)

It's XMAS !!  This one is just me and a mate muckin around at his place; he had put the backing down and I just added the lead musical part - by qwerty's !! More adventures into the micro-composer .. this time multi-tracked, a basic looped sequence in 6's underneath a different sequence in 4's an octave above which is tweaked throughout in a kinda 303 way .. I'm working on the effects chain as much as the synth; not totally happy yet, but plenty potential ..

202NYDd (WIP)

This one's been floating around for a while; since last years Monaco GP actually; hence the name .. I loaded it up last night and applied the latest techniques; including a bit of mastering, the arrangement was a live take just to test stuff .. every sound is Jupiter 6 except the kick and snare, and the riser effect towards the end is the Waldorf Pulse. Feelin' good ..... : )

My contribution is just a chilled Jupiter-6 sequence with a Sixtrak pad building up on top, a hypnotic meditative piece from the snow covered archives; now thawed out for xmas : )

Xmas Eve session, got into jazz mode playing the DX-21 piano preset; perhaps nicer than the DX7 piano actually, some phantom overdrive which I couldn't understand where it was coming from?! And some nice percussions and things. One live take of playing all the way through with no editing except 2 bum notes fixed. It's loose, and its improvised, but it was fun ..
(BTW I failed in my duty to get a track together for the Petroglyph Xmas Compilation, just forgot and ran out of time, gutted...)

Venus Jazz (Xmas Eve Impro)

Hello : ) I've not been using soundcloud much; and have other pages listed below; but I'm here (Nov 2019) and updating a few things....

I've made massive changes to my studio recently, sold all my keyboards except a master, and now have 3 racks: Waldorf Pulse, Oberheim Matrix 1000, and 3u of Eurorack which is basically an Atlantis and a Disting at the mo. I use Ableton for sequencing and effects. I'm working on music every day, lots of different genres but including psytrance; dub techno; old skool rave, chillwave, etc etc etc, still searching for that illusive first proper release... which ain't gonna be long now ;)

Don't hold back with comments, I will not be offended, constructive criticism very welcome.
