This next one’s a very special B2B set from two of techno’s freshest talents. German/Dutch pairing Phil Berg and Lobster have emerged from their respective habitats masters of their art. From raves in both their homelands to releases on SK-eleven, HAYES, Room Trax and positivesource, as well as a shared residency for Vault Sessions that’s brought them here for Bassiani Podcast 210, the duo posit a deep and driving compound of high-voltage rhythms in their day-to-day praxis. Slamming techno that has claimed a rightful space among the greatest names of their generation. Layer by layer, an instinctive formulation of heaving basslines and delicate hi-hats balanced with utmost precision. It’s a seamless communion of complementary worldviews in respect to sound, a rich tapestry of ever morphing loops. It’s focus on gradual build, a slowly evolving chimera in lieu of schmaltzy instant gratification. This latest edition clocks in at three hours, a redacted version of their 12 hour set for the Vault Sessions night at Bassiani back in early February. Romanian-born and Italian-based DJ, producer and label-head Ketch has carved out a distinctive space in the scene through his dark, texturised grooves laced with tribal, dub and acid elements. Ketch’s unique sound design creates a bridge between visceral energy and intricate soundscapes. Aside from crafting, Ketch co-founded labels SYXT (2018) and Glukkon Records (2019), having contributed to both labels with several of his own releases. Ketch has left his sonic imprint on Europe, having performed in cities such as Berlin, Amsterdam and Warsaw and will tour around the US in 2025.  

Ketch’s productions are minimalist, blending industrial soundscapes with abstract elements to transport listeners on an otherworldly journey. This podcast is a dynamic blend of textured rhythms and hypnotic elements, masterfully multi-layered to keep you moving without pause.

Bokilifu Boni born in 1730 was a freedom fighter and leader of the Aluku tribe. He fought and fought for the freedom of our people and raiding all plantations until his death 
due to warfare  in 1793.
Here i am talking about him hundreds of years later with inspiration of his strength and devotion. His legacy lives through our free souls today.

With this mix i took it back to the very basics. the mindset of one big story where the rhythms lead you to hypnotize if locked in. Simplicity, with a less is more mentality. Inspired by the pace of the Apintie drums which is always fast and rhythmic.
