'After a wide range of beautiful autumn releases, Heinz Music is now ready to introduce to you a 4-track EP by the Danish artist duo The Hunts and their close friend Jakob de Wittig. Hailing from Copenhagen, these two found each other through their love for music, a partnership that has lead to many beautiful dance floor moments, and now also four fantastic tracks ready to set sail along a magnificent remix by the label boss himself, Marcus Meinhardt. 

“Too Weird Not To Dance” is the title track. A driving groove immediately catches your attention leading you towards the weird world of synths and the dark vocals. Escalating sounds twist and twirl, building up massive momentum while the heavy, purring bassline hits right where it should.

Secondly, “Ride It” picks up the pace. Elegant drum work keeps the flow of the groove funky and catchy, and when the synth and whispering vocals enter the playground you know you are in for a ride. “Pastor Sovs” builds on quirky synths and a theatric vocal element that underlines the positive atmosphere of the track. On point drums build a solid base, but it is all about the fun in this one.

“Spank For A Dime” is an explosion of energy. It's driving and powerful bassline leads the way, while raw vocals and a savage synth is like a trip down the rabbit hole. There is just no knowing where this night is going to end. 

Marcus Meinhardt rounds up the EP with his take on “Too weird not to dance”. In a masterful showcase of molding original elements and making them your own, Meinhardt does what he does best. An enchanting and majestic tune thrills you with the longing synths and soft percussions, leading you into a fierce drop. It is a fury of emotions taking the lead, sending your soul straight into the night.

Definition EP is a new, forward-thinking release from electronic music producer Flo Mrzdk. This artist stands out for his personal take on techno and deep house, and this new release on Straight AHEAD music certainly affirms his amazing production skills and great qualities as a studio Techhouse producer. This release will be published in October 2017, and it will actually feature 4 brand new songs, including two original tracks and two remixes. The first song, Definition, gives its name to the EP and it stands out for its dense beat and gripping atmospheres. The arrangements are sparse, yet lavish and rich, with many layers of harmonies and melodies adding something more to the mix on various layers. As a result, the production feels kaleidoscopic and balanced, going for a diverse and personal blend of sound. On the other hand, Cielo, keeps the pace going, enhancing the rhythm and thickening the sonic layers. The remixed versions, curated by Boss Axis and by Peter Juergens, offer a whole different take on these melodies, with punchier drums and a very original arrangement.

Flo MRZDK loves extremes. Be it the passionately stirring performances behind the DJ desk, the excellence and meticulousness behind his technical skills as a producer, the curls, the loud laughter or the tongue-twisting name: the 35-year-old from Dortmund is anything but ordinary.
Flo developed his passion for music and its different styles early on. First by learning various instruments, later by the knowledge and the record collection of his father, who also played successfully as a DJ through clubs in Frankfurt and Dortmund. The two of them specialized in the 60s and 70s: (psychedelic) rock, dark metal and, of course, the beginnings of electronic music.
In the mid-nineties, Flo's enthusiasm for events such as Loveparade and Mayday developed - for the artists, the rave atmosphere and above all for the type of music. Autodidact Flo not only wants to hear it, but also wants to know how it is made. So he works his way into programs like Reason I and Q Base 4, quickly tweaks the first beats and a short time later whole tracks.
In his early 20s he starts his career with live performances - first solo, then as a mono negro together with mentor Ante Perry. To this day, his shows are legendary.
"I'm someone whose creativity comes from being emotional. If I don't feel anything, I am, my set is, only half as good."
And that spills over in front of the desk. If Flo is one with the mood, with the audience - then he always goes one better. Sweats, surprises, pulls away! This is not only appreciated by the fans, but also by the pros. Juliet Sikora discovered the talent early on - the first joint single was released in 2011. This was followed by releases on well- known labels such as Kittball, Spacedisco Records, Katermukke or beanape, chart positions, countless gigs at festivals and in clubs throughout Europe, remixes, radio performances, streams and residencies at the Dortmund Junkyard and Essen Studio.
His sound? Flo delivers brilliantly composed tracks in a range from deep house to disco - sometimes euphorically driving, sometimes catchy with banger samples. But always extreme. Extremely good. Just like Flo.
