Hallowed Leaves is a piece I created for the 2015 iPad Musician halloween Contest. The bed tracks are all from parts I have played into the app "Samplr"...The sound of leaves were tracked to the tempo. Backing vocal tracks are from my own sampled voice, main vocal and guitar tracked with an Apogee Mic and Jam. FX used were Flux, AUFX Dub, Space, and Push...The bass is iFretless, and the drums were also samples from a groove I like to play a lot! The track is obviously a meditation on the nature of being haunted by...what else...dead things...

A meditation on Christmas in my Home Town, Trail B.C., which I missed going home to for Christmas for the first time in my life last year. For me, Christmas will always mean my little town, and my family, and being blessed with such a fantastic connection to family, nature, and the elements there. When it snows at Christmas there, it is magic.

This track was recorded entirely on an iPad using only iOS Instruments other than vocals and acoustic guitar, also recorded directly on the device using an Apogee Mic. Sonokinetic bells, Virsyn Poseidon, Korg iM1, apesoft iVCS3, Samplr for recording "Haunted Chamber Quartet" consisting of my vocals, my cheap cello, my Mom's old piano doing the hard tack bits in the weird intro (I call that Piano "the Solheim"...for Nora, my Angel), Blue Mangoo iFretless Bass and Brass, Korg Module (solo bits on the tiny keyboard, Coda Section Oxygen 49), Borderlands Granular for the cold wind/ambient effect, and my Taylor 214e Acoustic Guitar at the end...

This is an old baroque melody I learned in 1980, when the Argentinian guitarist Agustin Pereira and his band, visited our local jazz club. I was mesmerised by the Latin rythms & was very lucky to get some guitar lessons from Agustin. 

Here’s a recording where I’m playing the same theme in samba style.

Guitar player since 33 years.i love all kind of music.a lot of influences.the beatles,pink floyd,toto( must i say i love steve lukather?).i also listen a lot of old french music.creating music tracks  is a real happiness for me.what else could i do?lol.what else can i say?hope you  enjoy my tracks.and yes....LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!oh i forgot : all my music is done with ipads,an apogee quartet,and a musicman luke.cheers!
