I began writing this song about a year ago. At the time I was recently laid off from my job due to COVID-19 and was basking in the extra free time for myself and my family. One warm spring day I took my laptop, headphones and Ableton Push to my backyard and began chopping and manipulating samples during my son Ezra's nap time. This moment is what laid the groundwork for this song. Fast-forward a year: selling our home of 5 years, moving to a new city, finding our dream house and making it our home, starting a new job, growing our little family and all the other things in-between, and now I'm happy to present the first song I've completed in 2 years... New Beginnings. It took me a while to come up with the title, but if you've made it this far into my ramblings you will see just how fitting it is. I'm excited for all of the new beginnings and experiences this crazy life brings us and hope to continue being inspired, bringing more sound to your ears in the near future. My super deep remix of Narrow Skies track "Chasing the Sun" out now on their 'Seasons Remixed - EP'. This track is probably my favorite I've written to date. I did a ton of experimentation in Ableton and dug deep into some sound design as well as the original stems to bring you this creation. I hope you enjoy this and I hope it brings you to a place of new understanding in life and your relationship with God.
