⚱️📜 BIO 📜⚱️
Music has always been a real passion for SRS.  Early Electro and Acid House lead him into the realms of the Rave Scene from 1988 - 1993 and the world of Pirate Radio Stations. From there he developed a love for Electronic Music. Deep House, Progressive House, Organic House, Melodic House, with a bit of Techno and Ambient thrown in.

As Eddie Amador said "Not everyone understands House music...it's spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing".

"This mix is all about one epic journey my wife, son and I embarked on when we visited the mighty USA.

And so, my journey begins...in an RV the size of a small house!
We left Monterrey and headed down Route 1 bound for Pismo Beach and Carpinteria. Blue skies and glorious sunshine followed us on our month road trip to some of the most amazing places I have ever seen. Off the bay came the Humpbacks and Orcas…absolutely breathtaking. Watching the surfers catch their ride with the Pelicans flying low over the waves, while the sun starts its journey downward…mesmerising. 

The tracks in this mix have a deep organic feel with the warmth of a lazy, hazy summer's day and remind me of that wonderful journey. After leaving the coast and heading into the mountains, we stopped off at Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia, which leads me in nicely to say that one of the tracks is aptly called ‘Sequoia’ by Mango Cult (Mass Digital Remix). You cannot do a trip like this and not be affected spiritually.
The USA will always have a special place in my heart, and I always get a longing to go back. The first track is one of my all-time favourites called ‘Emotions Electric’ by A Guy Called Gerald. I could listen to this track on repeat and never get tired of it.

I think that music is the only thing that can change everything. I believe that music can change what people do, how they think and feel, and how they do things. Music can help and change a person…even heal. I’ve listened to so many hours of music, and I know that it can make your day when you are feeling low. I know that music can change how you think or feel, because there are some songs I only listen to when I am sad, mad…happy or trying to concentrate. 

Every piece of music has its own personality and its own place in time.  My belief formed simply by listening to music almost all the time and realising the power of it. It is connected to all emotions because music can influence all emotions. When I put a mix together, I feel that I’m sculpting and shaping a journey from all these wonderful sounds that I have in front of me, and I hope that the listener feels this too. Without music the world would be a silent and dark place.

The Explorers - Ep.9 - SRS

A rainy & dark winter evening, with emotions that needed to be let out led me to my desk and this was the result. Totally spontaneous and unplanned but again, thanks to the amazing artists & the Labels and their amazing tracks that i used here, i was able to get back my smile. Rüfüs Du Sol is an Australian alternative dance group from Sydney, that consists of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt.

Their debut album Atlas peaked at number one in Australia in 2013, and their three subsequent albums have all reached either number one or number two in their home country. while their second album Bloom debuted atop the Australian albums chart in early 2016. Their single "You Were Right" won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release in 2015.

As part of their 2021–2023 Surrender world tour, Rüfüs Du Sol played three sold out stadium shows at Banc of California Stadium. In 2022, they won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for their song "Alive". In 2023, they headlined Oshega Festival in Montreal, and headlined Field Day in Sydney on New Year's Day in 2024.

FLØAT erzählt mit seinen Sets Geschichten und malt sie so richtig bunt aus. Querfeldein zwischen ambienten Beats, groovigem House und knusprigem Techno. Schon ewig und 3 Tage (so genau wissen wir das gar nicht mehr, der Typ war auf jeden Fall sehr jung) jongliert er mit Tracks aus aller Welt.

FLØAT tells stories with his sets and paints them in a really colorful way. Cross-country between ambient beats, groovy house and crispy techno.
He has been juggling tracks from all over the world for ages and 3 days (we don't really know anymore, the guy was definitely very young).
