Have Galerie Lochte ever covered a track? We don't think so and certainly don't remember. So to celebrate our anniversary in 2020, we've chosen wisely for this premiere: a jolly good old punkrock tune by Cologne-based band Fasaga (translates as "loser" or - more accurately - "losuh"). These guys are almost forgotten today, internet wisdom says they only recorded a handful of tracks. Their still popular "Pogo in der Straßenbahn" ("Streetcar-Pogo") reliably switches Deutschpunks into ass-shaking-mode, we've been told (by Blanker-Hohn-microphone-artist Oile).

Fahia Buche - Million Bucks Remix

Another mid-eighties concotion of mine. Actually it's a cover of Dee Dee Sharp's Gravy (For My Mashed Potatoes). You hear (all  Roland machines) a JX-3P Synth, a TR-606 drum machine and an innocent, unspoiled TB-303 ... and myself of course.
Believe it or not, the TB-303 was regarded uncool as more of a gear piece for a home organ dance musician back then. I sold mine for mere 250 German marks, totally unaware that it would skyrocket pricewise two decades later after some crackheads started running them through fuzz boxes and acid techno was born.
The lyrics belaude the VW Beetle car which was driven by perceived 90% of all my friends at that time. Fun fact about Dee Dee Sharp: She also auditioned for Loco-Motion but Little Eva snatched the deal.

Born in Germany in 1964 Flockenhaus* arrived just in time to intimidate the early 80's Hamburg electronic underground scene with various solo- as well as ingroup live acts, releases on Compact Cassettes and batterypowered equipment based gigs in Deutsche Bahn compartments.
After a series of commercial, engineering and scientific professions, never losing music out of sight, he came back to actively producing when things went virtual. Still influenced by the spirit of the 80s, Flockenhaus releases covers, own compositions, remixes, sweepers and all kinds of in- and outros for various media presentations.
A virtual existence as a well booked DJ, moving the global metaverse, completes his works.
*Flockenhaus - Collective term for a plethora of aliases and parallel personalities.
