"Time debris" was performed by Francesco Corvi on the 9th of February 2022 as part of his master research project at Den Haag’s Institute of Sonology. The work is loosely inspired by "The Order of Time," the influential text written by physicist and philosopher Carlo Rovelli.

Allongé.e sur un divan de verre, dans une vaste pièce sans murs. Plus de certitudes, plus besoin de se présenter ni de localiser la conscience. Choisis l’introduction qui correspond le mieux à ton existence : ce divan, la matière qui le compose, sa forme au ralenti, une onde – qu’importe. Tu seras toujours traversé.e par ce qui te dépasse. Dans cette pièce, y’avait Basil.

"This fall (15th of November), Danish artist Sortblod is releasing his debut album ‘Nye sange’ ('New songs'), consisting of 5 songs with lyrics (in Danish) and vocals, and 5 instrumental compositions. The songs oscillate between themes of love and care, while also attempting to understand various forms of despair and their origins. Amid a collage of sounds, including ceramic keyboards, acoustic guitars, sine wave synths, and homemade beats, the listener is often guided by a present and bright vocal. Through these intimate tones, the album explores how the cute and lingering might soften some of the harsher aspects of society.

The instrumental part of the album is, amongst many other things, inspired by Ohio-based sound genius Galen Tipton, ambient legend Pauline Oliveros, and a general TikTok-paced stream of consciousness. On the album it is often the contrast between the fast and the slow that seems to emerge to the surface, commenting on our consumer society and asking questions about how to create an alternative way of thinking and being."

We asked artists we love to contribute towards our first compilation. For this first collection we wanted to try and capture a sense of what sounds we as an archive/label want to highlight in music. An eclectic range of music that span from electronic to acoustic and somewhere in the middle.

This release will only be available on Bandcamp, with all proceeds being donated towards Medical Aid For Palestinians. If you would rather not give a percentage to Bandcamp we would encourage a direct donation to the charity.
