Bodie arrived in Denver with a clear objective: to represent the spirit of West with. His Black Box debut captured the essence of the Westcoast sound we know and love. 

"It wasn't known at the time yet, but 2008 spawned a new beginning for a Southern California based producer who began a bass music side-project known as "Bodie", which ended up completely taking over and becoming the main moniker. During these last 16 years, Bodie has traveled back and forth across the US as well as some European countries, to spread his signature, hardcore, west-coast influenced sound. No stranger to the production side of things, he's released on influential labels such as the legendary Betamorph Recordings, Section 8 Dub, Gradient Audio, Sub Garden, and many more. In 2012, he permanently relocated to Portland, OR, and had successfully integrated into the local scene, becoming a rotating resident of the "SYNT" weekly as well as the "FWD PDX" weekly that was a great success. Recently, in the last few years, Bodie has deviated from producing to label owning, starting his own venture and vision for the music in 2021 called "NWSide Connect" (Northwest-Side Connect), which features a roster of like-minded  producers and artists committed to delivering quality art and music, above quantity. It is focused on a darker, street-styled type of sound that he had always promoted in his prior releases and mixes. Currently, the label is on it's 19th release accompanied by a mix series that has just released their 9th installment, with momentum building more and more after each release."
