RAVE EN LA WEB

As we near the end of a difficult 2 years of humanity, each day, each week, each gig, each place is a new battle. Sometimes it's complex dance floors, evolved minds and different challenges our generation faces. 

All we can do as artists is to make sure we have our tools and inventory ready for every battle and situation. So this is an offering, to each artist, a few tools I've created for you and for me. 

Ant Hill & Planetary Movements. As they're titled - are tracks that are both my take on bringing structure and mechanics to chaos and multiple movements.


PLANETARY MOVEMENTS
A track that aptly pairs up as the 2nd track adopts a slightly varied take on the EP. An uptempo track favourite for those heads down-eyes closed dance floor vibe brings forth transcending elements mimicking a flight through the wormhole. The heavy low end holds up the energy whilst the delicately added synth and the elusive high hat paints streaks of light across the sonic spectrum.

Tearing up clubs across the country on the regular, plus releases across some fine labels and a solid agency backing, it seems like this capital city gun has been around the block, but it’s only just beginning for Madhav Shorey aka Kohra. We last caught glimpse of his talent in March, when he set the deck (wooden) aboard the Wild Boat from EDEN Festival ablaze with some hot evening jams from behind the (DJ) decks. In the meantime, he’s put music out on Sui Generiz and HardCutz Records with early support from Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y., Richie Hawtin, Schubert and more. Today, he spins his first BHA Podcast.

Ben Rama is a progressive techno producer from eastern Canada. His unique blend of deep driving tech grooves and subtle, haunting melodies has captivated dance floors ever since unveiling his live set in 2010. Heavily rooted in the progressive psytrance of the early-to-mid 2000s, and drawing upon influences of more modern techno movements, Ben's sound is able to encompass both aspects of light and dark, often within the same track. While not one to shy away from hypnosis inducing melodic structures - some of the fresh sounds emanating from the Rama studios are decidedly darker in tone, a reflection of Ben's interest in dark and psychedelic minimal techno.

In 2015 by Ben Rama and Alexander Synaptic founded the label "Techgnosis" and now is home to over 2 dozen artists from all corners of the globe. With a focus on collaboration and cooperation between label artists, the aim is to foster a sense of unity in the progressive and psychedelic techno underground.
