If I don’t fly
like the arrow
that I am,
what is my purpose here?

I came
as column to the infinite.
My roots are strong,
but my sap rises
to catch stars
in my branches.

You too say to me,
from deep knowing,
with love and care,
to bend my spine,
bring down the branches,
so they may grow
closer to earth.

Many live here,
some even thrive,
and any stumble
from shallow heights
is no Icarus falling
with molten wings.
