Welcome to the 27TH release for PuzzleProjectsMusic, brought to us by the exciting Italian Producers; Jose Dicaro and Flavio MP and British producer and PPM label boss Ben Spalding.

PuzzleProjectsMusic welcomes Jose Dicaro, an artist who has performed with icons such as Jeff Mills, Henrik Schwarz & Motor City Drum Ensemble at various shows across Europe while dedicating his creative energy to his own music.

Jose's deep love of funk, disco and house music are highly evident throughout his work, paired with his sonic agility and deep knowledge cement his ability to traverse a wide range of production styles. 

‘The Assessment’ (Original mix) utilises a long and enticing piece of dialogue to form its core identity. Around that, Jose builds a mesmerising piano-led arrangement. The piano keys and bass line roll in parallel perfection to one another to create that classic and utterly infectious house feel.

Label head Ben Spalding reunites with the superb Flavio MP for the remix. Following on from their critically acclaimed ‘Mind The Gap’ EP released last year, the pair explore their formidable creative alliance again to utterly devastating effect.

On their potent rework, the pair retain the same dialogue while taking the mood sinister. A gnarly, pounding bassline layered with various effects is added to the arrangement, designed to transport the listener to the dark and deeper side. In typical Spalding style, the track features a totally unexpected switch up, paired with key points where the energy shifts or often builds up into an explosive crescendo, following unorthodox patterns - anything but formulaic or predictable.

In 1989, 18 years old, I went on a road trip to Spain with my friend Paul. 

In a typical mega club on the Costa Brava I first heard Lil Louis’ French Kiss and saw what it did on the dance floor. Of course shortly after it blew up to become one of the most iconic tracks in house music ever and topped the charts all over Europe.

I’ve been playing my own remake of French Kiss for years. The folks at Armada thought it should be released and so we dit.
Before everybody (again) tumbles all over one another crying I STOLE this from Lil Louis, rest assured I don’t claim this to be my composition :-)

Lavoravo nel Bar di famiglia avevo tredici anni, quando incontrai un ragazzo Marco Mancini,lui come me amava la musica, cosi con lui inizio'un lungo percorso di gavetta, fra' locali, serate,feste private,eventi di moda,manifestazioni,ma anche tanta preparazione,poi decidemmo di volere acquisire l'esperienza del DMC,fu un bellissimo periodo, dove ci formammo.....
Passai alla minimal house, con questa scelta, aggiunsi esperienza alla mia esistenza,con dj darren doyle,dj justin berkmann,dj glenn miller bellissime serate fino al mattino inoltrato...
Successivamente scelsi d'iniziare a studiare Home studio,cosi mi lanciai nel fantastico Mondo delle produzioni musicali.lasciando per un periodo la scena da Dj...
In quel periodo 2002 feci una collaborazione non titolata con un Dj vincitore di DMC kk, presentammo Dancing,prodotto con la Planet Records..
Seguito da un tour in tante discoteche,Dolce Vita,Beach on,Carrubo,Byblos,la Capannina,ecc per presentare il brano dove nelle live suonavo le percussioni insieme alla cantante Yasmin james,attuale collaboratrice al 2020.prossimi al progetto PRESSURE.
