Additionally to the beatport remix contest winner from 8Colours it’s Belgian Ramon Tapia who delivered two (yes 2) very different versions of ‘Namaste’, both roadtested by Monika for months.
Deep house maestro Nick Curly took the chance to refine ‘One World’ featuring the incredible voice of Robert Owens. And it’s magic.

Tu t’installes devant ton écran, un café refroidissant à côté du clavier. L’envie de créer un morceau te hante depuis plusieurs jours, mais cette fois, tu es prêt. Tu ouvres ton DAW, une page vierge, et tu poses un kick. Sobre, efficace. Il résonne dans tes oreilles comme un battement de cœur, un appel à l’action.

"Le décor est posé."

Tu ajustes une basse, tu la veux profonde, enveloppante, presque inquiétante. Les premières textures apparaissent, un drone métallique, un synthé qui grince comme une machine en surchauffe. Le morceau respire.

Le lendemain, tu rouvres ton projet, prêt à l’affiner. Mais quelque chose cloche. Une intuition te frappe : ce n’est pas assez brutal, pas assez vivant. Tu détruis ta propre structure, tu refais tout.

Jour après jour, l’obsession grandit. Une idée chasse l’autre. Tu ajoutes des percussions sales, un hi-hat qui claque comme une porte métallique, un lead qui hurle sous des litres de distorsion. Tu crées, déconstruis, reconstruis, toujours en quête du son parfait.

Mais chaque avancée est un pas vers l’inconnu. Trop de détails. Trop de textures.

Un matin, tu fermes le capot du laptop avec un soupir. Stop.

Assez tergiversé. Il faut lâcher prise. Lâcher ce monstre dans la nature.

Et voici le fruit de cette graine, ce chaos organisé, ce labyrinthe sonore que tu as construit et détruit mille fois avant d’accepter de le voir naître.

Enough second-guessing. It’s time to let go. Time to unleash this monster into the wild.

And so, here it is—the fruit of this seed, this organized chaos, this sonic labyrinth you built and destroyed a thousand times before finally accepting its birth.
