Flug’s new label is an in-depth project that the Argentinian artist has been developing for a long time and finally comes to its birth, commencing its own path. After more than fifteen years working as a DJ and producer, Barcelona based Flug has been releasing music in the most relevant electronic music labels, surpassing the encapsulated techno genre and embracing a much wider musical perspective. Existentia’s label might be the sum up of his trajectory, always characterized by a profound commitment to creating and playing outstanding music and a devoted passion for his profession. You’re more than welcome to enjoy, listen and play Existentia’s very first release: Body Tales. 

Body Tales EP comes with 4 tracks, each one unique on its approach to techno and beyond. It starts with Electronic Mesures: a timeless, melodic and memorable electro track that enforces positive and strong energy. It could be, just freeing imagination, an epic closing track after an all night long powerful set. Fittingly, the eighth release on the EI8HT imprint comes from label co-founder, DJ, producer, radio host, and potty mouthed Bristolian, Eats Everything.  And just to make his mark on the occasion, he fires out eight tracks of funky, bottom end rumbling, club bangers.

‘8 Cubed’ assembles a brimming pack of modern and utilitarian, high tempo techno jams.  Produced over the last few months, in between a busy touring schedule that also encompasses EI8HT and Edible label showcases, Eats Everything has carved out a collection of cuts that embodies his current techno leanings, and a perfect showcase for the sound of the EI8HT label, run alongside Andres Campo.

Each one a serious pumper, the EP also features a guest appearance from Chi-town house royalty, Felix Da Housecat, whose WhatsApp voice notes to Dan Pearce AKA Eats Everything, become the perfect springboard for a vocal contribution to the hard, jackin’ energy of ‘Voicenote’.

Florian Meindl is a multi-talented and multi-faceted artist, who is renowned for his technical
prowess.
Producing for over fourteen years, Florian has become known for his deep, grooving powerful
techno. His productions are characterised by his love of analog, which represent his true signature
sound.
2006 saw the inception of Florian’s label FLASH Recordings. The label showcases Florian’s musical
vision, reflects his taste and gives him tracks for his DJ Mixes. A platform for artists that Florian
likes, FLASH has had over 130 releases already including tracks from Heron, Electric Rescue, Jamie
Anderson, Alignment, Hans Bouffmyhre & Avgusto.
In May 2015 Florian released his second solo album ‘Collide’ to critical acclaim. The album was
clearly influenced by Florian’s transition from producing almost entirely digitally for thirteen years
to recording mainly analog jamming sessions and editing the end results after on the computer. The
technical aspect is integral to Florian’s musical journey that he takes the listener on. His talent lies
in enabling the machines to speak and groove, to connect with them and create sounds and
patterns.
In addition to solo releases and numerous collaborations with international artists, and remixing the
likes of Hot Chip & Royksopp, Florian is busy with his sound design brand Riemann Kollektion and
Riemann Modular which is his new studio gear company specializing in Eurorack Modules.
As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established
an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an
exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic
machines like Roland 909.
After fourteen years of international performances and production, Florian has developed a special
connection with his analog equipment, letting them speak for him in music where words just aren’t
possible. His third album will be released in February 2017 in combination with a worldwide full
analog live act tour.
