A pure sonic assault on this latest release from Nørbak + special Reeko remix.
Portuguese based talent, Nørbak returns to Soma with another mind bending release packed with 3 originals and a superbly crafted remix from Spanish techno royalty, Reeko. Since joining up with Soma back in 2020, the young producer has continually upped his game with every release and now drop this 4th EP with the label.

His Reign Is Over is a fierce yet hypnotic affair, packed with thundering low end and trippy soundscapes. Reeko’s interpretation of the opening track harks back to his earlier, tougher productions yet still retains the hypnotism of Nørbak’s original. Pragmatically Speaking is a proper warped and tripped out number that utilises spacial FX to give it width and depth. Title track, There’s No Lesson, closes out this latest EP from Nørbak with expertly produced drive and aggression balanced against his signature looped out sound.

Stephan Hinz is back for his second release on Second State and this time he's flying solo with his Throwl EP. 
These are two massive dance floor tunes that will surely find their way into every
room scenario for the foreseeable future.

On the A side is the EP title track, 'Throwl' and Hinz does it again. Much like the huge hit 'Doch' from Hinz & Ruhmhardt's Panther EP earlier this summer, he's laid the groundwork with a giant kick drum, rolling bass and crisp hi hats, while a warm, distorted organ line relentlessly works into crescendo it never fully reaches. 
'Throwl' creates a massive amount of energy by never going over the edge, but taking it right there. Another brilliant display of how real restraint works magic on a crowd.

Rounding off the EP we have 'Can't You See'. A proper mellow deep house cut. While the EP holds his basis within the deeper sounds, AZIZ brings multiple vibes & energy levels to the table. Marco Faraone re-imagines two Radio Slave classics for ‘The Marco Faraone Remixes’ EP this December on Rekids.

The release sees UNCAGE label founder Faraone follow his ‘True Love EP’ on Rekids with incendiary versions of two of Matt Edwards’ most iconic cuts, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’ and ‘Grindhouse’.
‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’, originally released on Nonplus in 2014, is turned on its head by Faraone who adds huge synth lines and fresh vocals to beefed-up drums, twisting the sparse, minimalist original production into a warehouse bomb.

On the flip ‘Grindhouse’, a track which soundtracked many a party in 2008 in part thanks to a landmark remix from Dubfire, is tweaked into an eerie stomper by the Tuscan producer who centers his version around rattling percussive delays and subtle atmospherics.

By revisiting these productions and adding his own signature flair, Marco Faraone has given a new lease of life to a set of bonafide classics.

Florian Meindl is a multi-talented and multi-faceted artist, who is renowned for his technical
prowess.
Producing for over fourteen years, Florian has become known for his deep, grooving powerful
techno. His productions are characterised by his love of analog, which represent his true signature
sound.
2006 saw the inception of Florian’s label FLASH Recordings. The label showcases Florian’s musical
vision, reflects his taste and gives him tracks for his DJ Mixes. A platform for artists that Florian
likes, FLASH has had over 130 releases already including tracks from Heron, Electric Rescue, Jamie
Anderson, Alignment, Hans Bouffmyhre & Avgusto.
In May 2015 Florian released his second solo album ‘Collide’ to critical acclaim. The album was
clearly influenced by Florian’s transition from producing almost entirely digitally for thirteen years
to recording mainly analog jamming sessions and editing the end results after on the computer. The
technical aspect is integral to Florian’s musical journey that he takes the listener on. His talent lies
in enabling the machines to speak and groove, to connect with them and create sounds and
patterns.
In addition to solo releases and numerous collaborations with international artists, and remixing the
likes of Hot Chip & Royksopp, Florian is busy with his sound design brand Riemann Kollektion and
Riemann Modular which is his new studio gear company specializing in Eurorack Modules.
As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established
an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an
exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic
machines like Roland 909.
After fourteen years of international performances and production, Florian has developed a special
connection with his analog equipment, letting them speak for him in music where words just aren’t
possible. His third album will be released in February 2017 in combination with a worldwide full
analog live act tour.
