David Temessi follows up on his remix for Uncertain; with three uber-functional originals. The Seventh is a stripped back and dry tool, with „Mr. A.' giving one of the most sinister vocals you'll have heard since a while. Andre Crom takes the vocals of The Seventh and injects a heavy dose of energy, creating a peaktime bomb. Syntax Error offers a strong groove topped by a relentless synth line to create a real dancefloor weapon. On God Speed, Mr. A features on another a dry and percussive tool.

Soma label heads Slam curate a specially designed package of tracks to finalise their Archive Edit project that sees them delve deep into Techno’s past to bring some of the genre’s best tracks into the modern age. The Archive Edit project started as a way for Slam to showcase and share the many different edits that had made their way into their DJ sets over the last few years. The pairing of Stuart McMillan & Orde Meikle have both raided their extensive collections, picking out tracks that have defined countless sets over their career. Tracks from luminaries such as Nitzer Ebb, Thomas P Heckmann (as Silent Breed), Damon Wild & Terrence Fixmer have been re-edited alongside some of Slam’s own unreleased material, showcasing the duo’s current sound; one that constantly naturally evolves, matures and demonstrates why the duo have been at the forefront of the global scene since its inception.

“We resurrect nine cuts from our archive collective collections for your listening and spinning pleasure. Some are original material, some are live re-edits, some are well-known, others are not! They all have one thing in common, they all attempt to unashamedly destroy dancefloors, and thus featured heavily, (usually toward the end of our DJ sets) in the last year or so well known”. Now we share them with you!"

Slam open the album with an absolute monster track in the form of their rework of the legendary Nitzer Ebb’s ‘Join In The Chant’. The anthemic EBM/post-punk infused original is given a thrashing overhaul from the duo marking one of the standout tracks of this collection.  A special live rework of fan favourite ‘Scorpion’ drops before the previously unreleased ‘Memoriam’ delivers on a more emotive tip. Firing back into the edits is Thomas P Heckmann’s seminal ‘Sync In’, under his Silent Breed Moniker which is a fast-paced, Neo-Trance affair Slam then drop the manic ‘1001’ which takes the BPM stratospheric. DK8’s, Murder Was The Bass is up next and given a 2019 update as the duo's edit snatches up all the most perfect elements of the track leading nicely into a rework of French EBM legend Terence Fixmer’s ‘Body Pressure’ - driving through with its twisted beats and vocals. Another special live edit of the first Archive Edit release, Damon Wild’s Rotary makes an appearance as the album closes out with the rave infected, rework of the Hertz classic ‘Recreate’

Uto Karem kick starts 2021 with a new EP on his label @agile-recordings that’s been made in collaboration with Gaston Zani who recently charted No.1 on Beatport.

Gaston Zani and Uto Karem recently joined forces for tracks released by Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave and UMEK’s 1605. Following the success of those releases, the guys are back with a two-track EP made in their usual style of peak-time techno.

One of the people who pioneered techno in the Neapolitan region of Italy, Uto Karem has been releasing music for over two decades including releases on iconic labels such as Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 ranging through to others such as Dubfire's SCI+TEC.

Continuing to rise through the ranks, Gaston Zani is one of the most exciting artists out there right now, and this is backed up by releases on labels such as Eats Everything’s EI8HT, Sian’s Octopus, and Carl Cox’s Intec.

Each of the tracks blends a dark atmosphere with industrial textures to create hypnotic techno perfect for peak-time plays.

“Pisces” opens the release with its raw kick drum and thrashing off-beat percussion before introducing acid stabs and muffled vocals. Raising the intensity, the tracks lift up a gear with its fluttering bursts of arpeggio before the Detroit influenced stabs deliver the knock out blow for an explosive finish.

“Kontrol” builds with swelling tension as the rolling snares and fast-flowing synth line create a high-velocity groove. Frantic and unrelenting, its enthralling momentum is like a tidal wave of surging energy that’s set to engulf the dance floor.

Florian Meindl is a multi-talented and multi-faceted artist, who is renowned for his technical
prowess.
Producing for over fourteen years, Florian has become known for his deep, grooving powerful
techno. His productions are characterised by his love of analog, which represent his true signature
sound.
2006 saw the inception of Florian’s label FLASH Recordings. The label showcases Florian’s musical
vision, reflects his taste and gives him tracks for his DJ Mixes. A platform for artists that Florian
likes, FLASH has had over 130 releases already including tracks from Heron, Electric Rescue, Jamie
Anderson, Alignment, Hans Bouffmyhre & Avgusto.
In May 2015 Florian released his second solo album ‘Collide’ to critical acclaim. The album was
clearly influenced by Florian’s transition from producing almost entirely digitally for thirteen years
to recording mainly analog jamming sessions and editing the end results after on the computer. The
technical aspect is integral to Florian’s musical journey that he takes the listener on. His talent lies
in enabling the machines to speak and groove, to connect with them and create sounds and
patterns.
In addition to solo releases and numerous collaborations with international artists, and remixing the
likes of Hot Chip & Royksopp, Florian is busy with his sound design brand Riemann Kollektion and
Riemann Modular which is his new studio gear company specializing in Eurorack Modules.
As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established
an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an
exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic
machines like Roland 909.
After fourteen years of international performances and production, Florian has developed a special
connection with his analog equipment, letting them speak for him in music where words just aren’t
possible. His third album will be released in February 2017 in combination with a worldwide full
analog live act tour.
