Florian Seraul composes emotionally charged, evocative music that transports his audience. He skilfully blends textures with well-crafted melodies to build organic, visual tracks to create the perfect sonic accompaniment.

With a roster of high-profile clients, including Google, Dior and Tesla, Florian and his deliberate, textural music are in high demand across PremiumBeat, MYMA, Bam Library and Video Helper. Florian won the 2019 PMA Music Award for Best Ambient Minimalist track. He is a citizen of France and Canada, and fluent in French and English, enabling him to work with directors, agencies and clients across continents.

Florian discovered his love of composing as a twelve-year-old locked in his bedroom with a guitar, synths and a computer. He emerged from his childhood to play in bands in both Sweden and Montreal, before exploring his interest in indie-orchestral music with his project Maison Brume in his twenties. Florian’s music evolved as he travelled the world and spent time living in Canada and Sweden. In Montreal, he immersed himself in the gritty underground music scene, while in Sweden he discovered an appreciation of simplicity, silence and nature.

Shining through Florian’s work is his indie sensibility, with influences such as the films of Sofia Coppola, Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry peeking through in his cinematic style. Florian brings his own personal voice to all his work, but his music is always written to service the visual story, to bring the director’s vision to life.

While Florian is skilled in many musical genres, he primarily creates contemporary scores and electro-pop music. His scores weave elements of modern classical, strings and Nordic influences into a cohesive whole. In 2019, he recorded with an 18-piece orchestra for PremiumBeat at London’s prestigious Air Studios, showcasing his orchestral compositional skills. Florian’s scores have been featured in films and TV, including The Sleepover and promotional trailers for BBC’s Doctor Who. His electro-pop music is influenced by the best of the French electro scene and innovative electronic styles.  In 2022, Florian participated in a week-long seminar led by Alan Meyerson, one of the greatest film music mixers of the modern era.

Florian regularly collaborates with string orchestras. In 2019, 2022, and 2023, he recorded several of his compositions in the prestigious Abbey Road and AIR Studios in London.

Florian established his studio among the lush surrounds of Ardèche France, where he is based while working with clients across the world.
