Als unsere No.57 dürfen wir euch heute @christophmeyer und seinen Sound präsentieren und können guten Gewissens sagen, dass wir damit einen richtigen Kenner und Könner begrüßen: Schon vor über zehn Jahren hat sich Christoph mit Leib und Seele der Musik verschrieben und @SirChillicious ins Leben gerufen. 

"2012 habe ich angefangen im Netz Musik zu promoten und habe seitdem über 1000 KünstlerInnen geholfen, ihre Musik zu verbreiten. Meine Motivation ist die Liebe zur Musik. Ich lege aus Leidenschaft zum Sound auf und bin kein Freund vom Genre-Schubladendenken." 

Sein Sound spiegelt genau diese Einstellung wieder, denn auch wenn seine Devise lautet "Hauptsache House", so findet sich doch ein schillernder Facettenreichtum - von deep-melodisch bis hin zu funky/soulful ist alles dabei, was das Herz berührt. 
Ebenso Christoph's Verteiler Podcast: Entstanden ist ein einstündiger Mix, der uns mit atmosphärischen Pads, tiefem Bass und Vocals aus dem Herzen umhüllt. Enden tut das Ganze mit feel-good Vibes, die hervorragend zum Sommer unserer Hauptstadt passen!

What a pleasure after a break of two years there was a summer of love again with the beloved @Katzensprung Family😽❤️ Unfortunately, the Katzensprung Festival could not organize a big event this year for logistical reasons and so there were several small weekenders, but this didn't spoil the atmosphere🤗❤️ This recording here is from the fourth edition mid July when I was allowed to open the "Birkehainer" Floor on a Sunday afternoon😁 Unfortunately, due to a technical error, the atmosphere recording is missing here, so there is no feedback from the audience in the mix😜 But in any case it was a beautiful afternoon, where beautiful souls got involved with my sound and we all went on a 3 hour journey together🙏❤️

🗯🗯 How Did Corona change your artist life? 🗯🗯

Corona has been a very weird time for me. The first few months of the lockdown I actually played more than I did before because I got invited to do a ton of streams. However it is obviously not the same as playing in front of a crowd at all. So even though that felt odd or not as satisfying as standing in front of a full dance floor some very surprising and positive things came of that.

The streams gave people access to experience a ‚live set‘ that wouldn’t have had that otherwise and are usually mainly stuck to Soundcloud sets. I even got messages from people saying they are hoping that streams will continue even after the pandemic as they live in areas that are far off any clubs. On top of that I also got messages from people saying how much it helped and encouraged them in this difficult time. One even from a nurse working in a corona ward, that one actually moved me to tears. 

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

At home, feeling a bit chilly, realizing autumn is coming and dreaming of better days.

🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

I hope that Corona instills a new sense of appreciation for what we have and what freedom we enjoy. Also to understand how much work goes into creating the clubs and parties we all love and have taken for granted. This is already happening with the few events that are taking place  here in Berlin and I hope it continues on once the pandemic is over.
